I booked 3 tour with Prestige, two of which are private tours where I was the only one that made the reservation. My tour guide was very polite, easy-going and patient, also a great driver. The price may be higher than some other tours but the experience was worth the payment because in big tour groups I as a solo traveler always felt lonely and the order of activities (i.e. choosing between visiting first or having lunch first) in private tours can be quite flexible. Also I only recommend visiting lavender farm before early February because if you arrive on 11th of Feb there is almost nothing to see. See more..
My friends and I went on the half day tour with cheese wine tour and had an absolutely amazing experience. We went to 4 different wineries throughout the day, all with stunning views and great wine and cider. The cheese platter with homemade relish was delicious. Jeremy went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our tour, from explaining the history of the different vineyards in the Tamar Valley to giving us recommendations in Launceston and dropping us directly off at the pub after our tour was over! I went on a Bird Photography Cruise with Leven River Cruises and we were fortunate enough to see an adult White Bellied Sea Eagle catch an eel in the river, drug it up on the bank, and then carried it away to a fallen tree, had her fill and then passed it on to one of her juveniles so it could have a feed as well. On the cruise this day we not only saw eagles, but we also saw a Swap Harrier, an Australian Hobby, several White-faced Herons, 3 varieties of Cormorants, two varieties of ducks, wrens, Welcome Swallows, Brown Thornbills, European Goldfinches, Masked Lapwings, etc., etc. Add on top of that the stunning reflections of the surrounding trees in the river and it makes for a sensational day of cruising. I had an amazing day with John from Discover Tasmania Tours! I booked the Bridestowe Lavender Estate scenic tour that also goes to Lilydale Falls, Grindelwald, and Cataract Gorge. I ended up going on a solo tour with him since there were no other joiners (had to pay a bit extra for my tour to push through.) John was engaging and very knowledgeable, and was able to make adjustments when necessary. He made the long car drive between places interesting by showing me interesting things around us - from the mountains, the animals, and certain towns that we passed through. I’d rate Mad MTB 6Stars if I could. Dawn and Richard were absolutely amazing hosts. We booked in 3 days of shuttles 13km Descent, Atlas, Black Shadows. We lost a few due to sickness or injury along the way and Dawn was great at offering us more trails to make up for our missing crew. Dawn was easy to communicate with even with limited coverage and also thanks to Andrew and Chris for shuttling us back up to Black Stump to do Flickity Sticks over and over again, we cannot wipe the smiles off our faces. We took the Pipers Traditional Trio tour which was a private tour. Tate was our guide for the day. The whole experience was personalised. We tasted many lovely sparkling wines made in the traditional method and many delightful Pinot noirs. The three vineyards visited were just the right amount for a wine tour. This theatre is a "quiet" attraction - low publicity and on a side street but it is a wonderful attraction of Queenstown. The new owners, who also conduct a range of tours in the Gordon River and Queenstown area, have continued the restoration in great style. The theatre area, now used for regular "fine dining with a movie", is a beautiful example of an art-deco theatre, and for just a few dollars visitors are able to enjoy a self-guided tour. Truffle shop is fanatic, beautiful and landscape is lovely. Pop in for a look. We did the truffle hunt with lunch. Anna (owners daughter) was fantastic and knew her stuff, each member of our party got to dig up a truffle and we had fun watching the three dogs going sniffing about and Anna explaining what they were doing. After the hunt we got to try fresh truffle, truffle in oil, balsamic and mustard and have a plough-mans lunch with wine. So generous and tasty! We booked Coastline Tours Tas for a hens day and it was absolutely unreal. Sarah is so much fun, professional and accommodating, when requested she even pumped up the tunes for us in the van when travelling between vineyards which everyone absolutely loved. Even though I was a solo traveler and there was no one else booked for the day/time that for my itinerary, Natalie scheduled me in. Great customer service. The day of the walk, Phil was my guide. He was friendly, easy going, informative and made my walk a highlight of my trip. We started with a safety talk, a farm orientation, then Phil selected two llamas - Merry and Rivet. And away we went on a short bush walk and then a couple of rounds through an obstacle course. The ground can be uneven and muddy but the walk was too difficult or strenuous and would be suitable for most. The llamas were easy to handle and very responsive. I would highly recommend.See more..

I hired a boat and just loved it! The boat worked like a charme and was perfectly suited for fishing. The trailer was not in the best conditions to be honest and gave me some headacheas while driving on gravel roads. I guess usually people do not drive around that much as I was using the boat intensively for four days straight and put it on several different lakes. So if you want to use the boat in similar intensiv way, just tell the people and check the trailer with them before you leave. I am sure that want be a problem at all! We were completely dependent on a reliable drop off and pick up (there's no track in or out of there from Strahan!) and Sean and Sam from SW Expeditions came through in spades.
