We attended the 2020 Steamfest at the Sheffield Steam and Heritage Centre. Wow, so many different steam contraptions, from the small, right up to enormous tracter/traction engines with Threshers, and even one with a Rock Rpadbase maker, complete with Bill Steamshovel. The event also included a Light Horse Re-enactment group, with both horse displays, and a Red Cross wagon being towed around a slalom. Fantastic. The kids and big kids were catered for with steam engine and train rides, and a food stall area with a good range of food and drink. The many Volunteers helped so well, and it all went off very smoothly. You should go. It's held in March yearly, and the Centre is open most days. See more..
