This is a shop that sells locally made chocolate but is also a whisky distillery. There was a bus load of people there when we stopped so quite crowded. Lots of chocolate which was a bit overpriced (but what isn't on Bruny). Bought a locally written book about convict days, which was signed by author, so I was happy. Lovely grounds around the shop too.See more..
4.5Bruny Island Honey(96 reviews) - Awesome addition to Bruny Spent < 1 hour Speciality & Gift Shops
we haven’t been to Bruny for a few years but I don’t think this place was here last time we visited. Our favourite part was watching the hive inside the store - we could’ve sat there and watched the bees work all day! There’s an enormous play structure for young kids, we didn’t get time for a play but it’s a great addition for travelling families. We got the bush and fennel flavoured honey, as well as the mild honey mustard - simply amazing!!See more..

4.5Providore 24(48 reviews) - A welcome beyond the call Thursday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Speciality & Gift Shops
I arrived at this lovely shop at near 5pm as the lady was prepping to close up for the day. It had been raining all day and I had been at Highfield House for hours, reading! I left that place feeling daunted by the struggles I'd learned the women and children had endured to 'settle' and the horrific stories of the men's behaviour toward the aboriginal men and women. I'd thought to have a coffee and cheer up. I didn't need the coffee, the warm and friendly welcome the lady gave me even though it was home time for her was just what I needed. I enjoyed looking at all the fabric items on sale and loved the quirky little things in every corner of the shop. The lady at the shop was great company and a lovely person to chat with. My purchase of yummy Homemade Horseradish Sauce was a great choice, and a few flavours of chocolate bars were a spoil I 'needed' after being in such daunting company at Highfield! Definitely recommend a visit to this place. See more..

We visited in Evandale a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with the goods; brought a few things then stopped in to the Campbell town store encountered to Hobart and couldn't resist and brought more things; all in all spent $700+ that day in Lake Leather. Extremely happy with the purchases. Had a squeaky shoe, when brought up with the owner, she was extremely easy to work with; made the sending back and replacement via Aus post so easy and quick; even sent back cash for my own out of pocket postage to be covered. New heels perfect. This place is now my new favourite store and can't wait to go back. See more..
