    Derby Town Hall image
The Derby Town Hall is attractive, because it looks like a Town Hall from the past. Tourists stop here to take a picture of it. It isn't hard to find irt It is right in the main street. It is very attractive. I can imagine walking in the past and see the miners going home after a hard day of finding tin in the mines. Back to now. I was happy to see that Town Hall. What a great find! A number of the old buildings in the town of Zeehan are very interesting and well maintained and the post office (erected in 1888) is one of the best with its pale blue and cream paint work. Zeehan commenced as Mount Zeehan in 1882 with the finding of silver and lead and was renamed Zeehan in 1890. By 1910 there were 10,000 people in the town but today you would be lucky to see anyone. Great buildings however and worthy of a visit. See more..
