  1. 5.0 Blue Derby Mountain Bike Trails (94 reviews)
    - Get on your bike and get to Derby
    Spent 2-3 hours Biking Trails

A true small town, and a hive of activity with mountain bikes everywhere. Easy to walk or ride around town and the main street. Would recommend bringing food supplies, esp snacks for the trail. Had not been on a mountain bike for a while but loved getting back in the saddle. The green runs had a great mix of challenges, climbs and fun descents, make sure you go through the derby tunnel. Suitable for kids with experience on the track, my 4yo managed the pump track and the chang gang track with ease. Would highly recommend shuttles to get more variety in your day and extend the legs to allow multiple days on the bike. Really great family friendly holiday, will go back. See more..

The drive from Launceston to Scottsdale was spectacular. The next morning we left from the old railway station for a 30 minute ride. It was beautiful and we enjoyed the downhill gradient. After riding through a variety of environments we turned around and pushed back on the uphill.. not as much fun See more..

We were lucky as the storms that been through the area let us walk in peace through. after reading other reviews there were no riders through the tunnel when we were there. There motion lights so you were not totally dark unless you wanted to go back through. I really enjoyed this walk. See more..

Hop on your bike and head into the hills for a distinctly West Coast experience. Starting on the outskirts of the historic Zeehan, take a journey through rolling button grass hills to the remote peaks of the Heemskirk Range or get your flow fix from the top of Oonah Hill. Prepare to be transfixed by 360 degree views at every corner while immersing yourself in what the locals call “Silver City”. See more..

    Mt Owen Mtb Trails image
Wherever you go in Queenstown, Mt Owen looms large at an impressive 1,146 m above sea level. On a clear day from the top, gaze towards Frenchman's Cap, ponder the lost towns lying under Lake Burbury or look West across the Southern Ocean. Once heavily wooded, the area's long industrial mining history and heavy timber felling left their mark. The mountain now lays bare its dramatic ridgelines and geology, making this trail network a unique and highly engaging riding experience. Book a shuttle to experience the Upper Mountain trails or get on your bike and pedal the unique landscapes of Lower Mountain to earn the views. See more..
