  2. 4.5 Boat Harbour Beach (137 reviews)
    - Divine

    Boat Harbour Beach image
One of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and yes I've been to my share in the Caribbean. The only issue is the water is cold, but it's such a beautiful spot, with a Licensed Cafe offering good food, so what could be betters on a sunny day. Child friendly, Life Savers are on Patrol during the season and on weekends. Check the tide times before coming as at high tide the water extends all the way up the beach to the beach shacks. - An amazing walkway!

    Horsetail Falls image
I was not planning to walk to the Falls, but the walkway caught my eye as I was driving past and I just had to stop. The engineers have done a fantastic job attaching the walkway to the side of the hill. A strenuous walk but worth it for the spectacular views. The walkway is very exposed, so be prepared for cold, wet and windy weather. The Falls themselves were not very impressive from the walkway, but it was the experience that I enjoyed. See more..

    - Nice, easy introduction to Cradle Mountain

This is the easiest walk you will do in Cradle Mountain, but that in no way marks it down. It’s a lovely, flat 20 minute stroll through the beech forest and moss, along the river, and then back past the falls. Great views of the forest up close, that anyone can do. See more..

Easy and assessible boat ramp. Plenty of parking. Beautiful area of Tasmania. We took 4 grandchildren out fishing (ages 2-10). They all caught a fish and we were able to also watch dolphins playing in the water. A great day. See more..

    Jetty & Foreshore Walkway image
Nice walkway from the jetty along the foreshore and into the town. Great views across Parsons to Elbow Hill where the information signage indicated the location of a former semaphore location. There are two memorials near the boat ramp, the Craig Jones Memorial Carpark and Launching Ramp plaque affixed to a boulder and the Memorial to the Johnson family and all others lost at sea from the Tasman Peninsula.
