5.0Freycinet National Park(471 reviews) - Freycinet National park Tasmania National Parks • Nature & Wildlife Areas
Cliffs, walks, hikes, wildlife, wildflowers, beautiful bays. Views to die for. Even while raining it was beautiful. We chose a cabin at the Big 4 Iluka pity the previous occupants had cooked curry. The cabin reeked of it. It t permeated everything inside the cabin. Even the bedding reeked. If you come to Freycinet make it worth it. Stay somewhere really nice! We preserveered over 3 nights leaving windows and doors open to rid the curry stench. Next time we'll do the lodge.See more..
5.0Maria Island National Park(360 reviews) - The best place in Tasmania to see free wildlife. Spent More than 3 hours National Parks • Islands

We were truly impressed. We saw some of this park from the sea, and some of it from the land. Truly magnificent. The view from Cape Bruny lighthouse was spectacular, but very very windy. I think we caught the roaring 40s. The view from the powerboat, of sea caves and rugged cliffs was equally inspiring. Love this place and its rugged beauty.See more..
We we with a small tour group and drove past the Strzelecki Range out to Trouser Point in the National Park. We walked a short distance to a vantage point overlooking the lovely Fitheringate Beach with stunning scenes looking towards Mt Strzelecki and the gnarly trees and orange lichen encrusted rocks. We then walked out to Trouser Point which again was stunning. While we were there there was a storm over the range which made for great photos. Finally we went to the gorgeous Trouser’s Point Beach. Breathtakingly beautiful. A must visit if you are ever in the island.See more..
A bit of a brutal drive in on wet, potholed gravel road but rewarded when we got to the waterhole. Beautiful does not do it justice though I am still shaking my head re the two girls who turned up in full wetsuits for a swim ... in July !!!! Brave stuff ladies. Well worth the drive/ short walk in.See more..
We popped in in our drive from Cradle Mountain back to Hobart to a Franklin River walk. It was a short 20-30 minutes but we saw some amazing King Nilly pines and Pencil Pines. The forest in the warm afternoon sun was delightful. Highly recommended.See more..
4.0Adamsons Falls(1 review) - Large cascades National Parks • Hiking Trails • Waterfalls
Well worth the mud and level of difficulty with fallen trees, etc. The sign says 4hrs return which is a fair approximation. There didn't appear much water flowing over it, but it's still a spectacular sight and worth the walk. As an added note, be prepared for all types of weather and wear hiking boots.See more..
