  1. 4.5 Boat Harbour Beach (137 reviews)
    - Divine

    Boat Harbour Beach image
One of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and yes I've been to my share in the Caribbean. The only issue is the water is cold, but it's such a beautiful spot, with a Licensed Cafe offering good food, so what could be betters on a sunny day. Child friendly, Life Savers are on Patrol during the season and on weekends. Check the tide times before coming as at high tide the water extends all the way up the beach to the beach shacks. 2. 4.5 The Tarkine Drive (100 reviews)
    - Fabulous - Highly recommended
Spent < 1 hour Scenic Drives
    The Tarkine Drive image
Travelled on the Tarkine Drive, through the wilderness of NW Tas. Past Smithton, and with farmland and cow herds slowly disappearing we approached the coast. First to Marrawah, then Arthur River and The Edge of the World - a rugged coastline point, where the waves have travelled uninterrupted some ~20,000 km, from Sth America. We then headed inland driving through quite barren grasslands, finally entering rainforests where we stopped at Chisholm. Hiking through the damp rainforest (getting good use of our hiking boots now) to a massive limestone sinkhole; which had flooded over time. This was very cool - we were probably the only people around for who knows how far. We kept our eyes open for platypus(s) but alas, none to see. See more..

  5. 4.0 Forester Kangaroo Drive (1 review)
    - Wildlife paradise
    Scenic Drives
    Forester Kangaroo Drive image
Lots of joeys, kangaroos, wallabies and wombats in the late afternoon when we explored this. Most of the animals except The kangaroos aren't overly concerned as you drive by. Allow plenty of time for stopping and even getting out for a closer look. We were the only ones doing the drive at the time, so it was easy. See more..
