Loved it! Best experience and we will be back for more. The guides Kirsty, Zoe, Riz and Rose were amazing, especially with a scared new rider, the nerves went away and she had a fantastic time. Horses were beautiful and paired well with riders experience. The guides knew the horses personalities and it was very obvious they spent a lot of time with them and cared a lot for them. We stayed at the homestead, which was lovely. It was clean, comfortable and quite roomy. It had a gorgeous view. Met up with Ray there and had a nice chat. We went horse riding at Horse Haven in April and had a wonderful time. The horses are well loved and very well looked after. It was a really personal ride with the owner of the property Conny and Teddy (the dog), even down to taking the horses back to their paddock. There is a self contained cottage available also, which we did not stay in as we had already booked accommodation elsewhere. I cannot say what the accommodation would have been like but based on the company and the overall vibe of the place, I'm pretty sure it would have been a good experience. Where do I start. Jeremy and Jenny provide a fabulous 5 day horse riding break at their property in Tasmania. I booked this trip as I have my own horse and wanted a holiday with good quality horse riding, comfortable accommodation and nice food, I was not disappointed. The horses are wonderful and are trained using natural horsemanship methods. Our first afternoon started with an introduction to your horse and then we went to the arena and obstacle course so we could be shown how these horses were trained and given hints on riding using the natural method. This was a fantastic insight, we then headed off for a nice 2hr trail ride.We arrived back at the property put our horses away, you are giving the opportunity to assist should you want to. At this point you are asked if you are happy with your horse. Then it was drinks and nibbles before dinner. Over the next couple of days we had some great riding, visiting the salmon far, riding up the great western tier and beach riding. All days were amazing. The beach ride day also included a trip to town and some shopping at the cheese factory, raspberry farm and some other attractions. The food was very good and plentiful.
