Bird Photography Cruise on the Leven

I went on a Bird Photography Cruise with Leven River Cruises and we were fortunate enough to see an adult White Bellied Sea Eagle catch an eel in the river, drug it up on the bank, and then carried it away to a fallen tree, had her fill and then passed it on to one of her juveniles so it could have a feed as well. On the cruise this day we not only saw eagles, but we also saw a Swap Harrier, an Australian Hobby, several White-faced Herons, 3 varieties of Cormorants, two varieties of ducks, wrens, Welcome Swallows, Brown Thornbills, European Goldfinches, Masked Lapwings, etc., etc. Add on top of that the stunning reflections of the surrounding trees in the river and it makes for a sensational day of cruising. If you're planning to be in the Ulverstone area, I highly recommend you book a cruise and experience a wonderful cruise on the Leven River with Kim!

    River Cruise Magic
Wow, what an awesome cruise! Kim our intrepid skipper and guide made the history of the river, it’s bird life and the story of the Ulverstone region come alive as she expertly navigated us in the jaunty Jus Leven across the glassy waters of the beautiful Leven. Looking forward to the 'Scones and Teas Among the Trees' cruises coming up this Winter time. Will bring a beanie.
