  1. 5.0 National Museum of the US Air Force (5.043 reviews)
    - Top-rated travel experience
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Speciality Museums
National Museum of the US Air Force image
Just a fantastic travel experience. Unique, awesome in scale, appeals to a wide array of audiences. I loved seeing all of the different Air Force One's- neat to see their development (including FDR's wheelchair component) and to see the plane where LBJ took the oath. The kids loved the VR things (which have an additional cost but since the museum is free otherwise it's not too bad). The kids can explore and walk around in planes. We were there for like 2 hours and only saw a small part. It's a fantastic travel experience and highly recommend if you are anywhere in southwest Ohio. The kids loved it (6 and 12) and I and the wife loved it, which is often hard to make everyone happy but this nails it. I want to go back and see the rest. See more..
  2. 5.0 Hocking Hills Canopy Tours (4.417 reviews)
    - "X" Tour
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks
    Hocking Hills Canopy Tours image
We had a family reunion in Hocking Hills over the July 4th holiday and booked the "X" Tour. Justin and Raquel were AWESOME guides and really made the experience great - there is a little bit of downtime while you're waiting on the platform and they did a great job of telling stories and asking questions to get to know us all better. I was nervous to zip-line because I am not a fan of heights; however, the guides made me feel comfortable and after a few of the lines I was jumping off without a worry in the world. I would definetly recommend this tour if you're visiting the area! See more..

  13. 5.0 Spring Grove Cemetery & Arboretum (751 reviews)
    - Beautiful trees and surroundings
    Saturday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Nature & Wildlife Areas • Cemeteries
Spring Grove Cemetery & Arboretum image
My wife wanted me to go here and I was not excited as I pictured it as a normal cemetery, but it is very beautiful and well landscaped. My wife an dI went with some friends. It is very old and many of the important wealthy families of Cincinnati past seem to be buried here. Very big and impressive grave markers are all over the place, with a beautiful lake and fountain. Many grave markers of people who died in the 1800s. We should have picked up a map as you can get lost wandering around the many circular roads. It is very relaxing to wander around. It is hard to describe but if you like leisurely walking around mature trees and seeing historic parts of our Cincinnati past, I urge you to go check it out yourself. I am told it is located in the Northside section of town. See more..

    Valley Zipline Tours image
Chris and Chad were wonderful guides. They did a great job of making sure that everyone felt comfortable with the procedures and had a safe and enjoyable time. The entire staff was very entertaining, and conscientious of their guests needs. They pointed us to the spotless restroom when we first arrived after a long journey, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. They provided water mid-course, and even directed us to some of the best pub-food I have ever had (at O'Huids) when the course was though. My husband and I were on a day trip and shared our tour with a lively group of women celebrating their 60th birthdays. A good time seemed to be shared by all. Thank you for the experience! See more..
  18. 5.0 Rock House (584 reviews)
    - A True Must See
    Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Rock House image
Out of all the hikes we did in Hocking Hills this was our favorite. The scenery looked like something out of the movie Pandora, the rock house is a pretty cool cave that you can walk through and enjoy the amazing creation of water and time. We took our 7, 8, and 10 year old daughters. they did really well. The cliffs are very steep so you must pay attention to them and where you are walking. See more..
  19. 5.0 Ash Cave (577 reviews)
    - A.C.

    Ash Cave image
A really peaceful and serene spot. Consider going in the evening or early when it is much less crowded. It can be a pain to find- here are the GPS coordinates: N 39 23.769 W 082 32.739. The patch is nice and flat and easy for anyone of any age or ability. It is a very short trail as well. I would love to come here when there is a lot of water coming over the falls- but its tough to time it when you live four hours away! At least try not to come in the dry season. See more..

My 5star rating is specifically for Mike S. (owner). He made sure we got exactly what we wanted, including a pickup and drop off at a private residence 20 minutes south of downtown Cincinnati (for a reasonable fee). I highly recommend for any of your Cincy Tour needs. See more..
  21. 5.0 Burning River Adventures (554 reviews)
    - Beautiful kayak trip!
    Kayaking & Canoeing
    Burning River Adventures image
My husband and I truly enjoyed the 6.5 mile (long) trip down the Cuyahoga River. We rented 2 single kayaks which were quite comfortable and had nice paddles. The bus trip to the drop off point was one of the nicest we've ever experienced for a canoe/kayak trip - usually it's a rickety old school bus but Burning River Adventures had a nice, comfortable bus which made the beginning of the trip quite enjoyable! The guide helped to unload the kayaks and helped us get them launched into the water. The river was absolutely gorgeous! There were 2 fun rapid areas spaced through the trip, and the river was quite clean! They'd recently had a decent amount of rain so the river was running fairly quick which made it a lot of fun. The take-out point was smooth, with a guide to help catch the kayak and get you onto a ramp to get out. It was one of the best kayaking experiences either of us has had ! See more..

    The Garage OTR image
A Segway tour is a great way to see and learn new things in a city and this tour is no exception. We did the river front tour on a Saturday afternoon. We thought the tour was going to be 10 folks (according to what it said online), but it was just our party of 4, so that was a bonus! Bret was an excellent guide informing us of interesting facts about the parks and the city. We can't wait to do the Spring Grove Cemetery tour next! See more..

  26. 5.0 Old Man's Cave (394 reviews)
    - Be sure to visit the visitor center
    Caverns & Caves
    Old Man's Cave image
We recommend starting at the Upper Falls (it begins at the farthest spot from the Visitor’s Center, go down into the gorge, and make your way to the Lower Falls. You will see the cave (recess) and the whirlpool going this route. From the lower falls, you can go up and out (which is what we did) or you can continue on to Whispering Cave and/or Cedar Falls. Over the last few decades work has been done to make the trail more accessible and we’d say it is moderate to easy compared to other hikes we’ve taken. Kids can easily hike it. There are dangerous places and you really should stay on the path. At the Lower Falls, you take the steps up and out to the path above and to the cement sidewalk to go back passed the Nature Center and to the Parking Lot. The paths are one way. See more..

Something they will never forget. See more..
  29. 5.0 Conkles Hollow State Nature Preserve (375 reviews)
    - Beautiful views on the lower gorge trail!
    Nature & Wildlife Areas
Conkles Hollow State Nature Preserve image
This was definitely the most beautiful of all the places we visited in Hocking Hills. We only walked the inner Gorge Trail this time because we had a toddler with us and my husband is very afraid of heights, but even so the views from below were spectacular! The gorge trail is paved most of the way so it is a very good place to go with small children. It ends in a large open area under the cliffs with some water and boulders to scramble, a wonderful place for the kids to stop and play for a while. We went late in the afternoon (after 4 pm) and only encountered a few other families. See more..

    Gardens
    Inniswood Metro Gardens image
This is a really great place to explore! There are several paths that lead to various areas of the garden. You'll find so many unique and interesting things throughout the garden. I really loved the boardwalk paths, stone bridges, and gardens of course. The 3 sisters garden was super cute and probably my favorite part of the entire place. The story maze in particular was adorable! There were so many squirrels along the path just hanging out which really surprised me. We're from the hocking hills and you usually don't see squirrels quite that closely. My husband remarked that they're city squirrels and are used to people feeding them. I highly recommend visiting, especially with kids. It is very stroller friendly. Best of all... it's free and has plenty of parking. See more..

The other two that went with us, it was their first time & they loved it & have said they want to go back again. My husband & the other gentleman that went with the 4 of us were both picked to go up on stage & let’s just say the tears were rolling with laughter. We delighted in watching a variety of birds alighting on the bird feeders beyond the windows in the bird watching area. Most unique. We walked the paths took in the outdoors in this don't miss site which offers a fall hiking challenge that appeared to quite popular. See more..
