ZACH with American Legacy Tours gave us a fantastic (impromptu) historical tour of downtown Cincy! We booked the wrong day by accident...showed up during crazy busy BLINK and by chance ran into him. He thoughtfully showed us a few highlights and gave us ideas on where to enjoy the city. My husband booked a tour of the city which included at least 6 different restaurants for a sample of their signature treat. We were blessed with 45 degrees weather in December, so it was a beautiful day to stroll around the city. Our tour guide Beth, was amazing! She was friendly,kind and very knowledgeable! Since we were the only folks on the tour we did not feel rushed. We also were able to ask lots of questions. We truly enjoyed the city of Cincinnati,and highly recommend Riverside Food Tours for an incredible experience of food,sights and plenty of history! Had we tried to venture the city on our own, we would not have had the same experience! This 3 hour tour,was money and time well spent!!See more..

Our tour started at Music Hall where we learned a LOT about the history and construction of the building. We then headed to Over The Rhine learning some history and seeing some great architecture along the way. Lunch was at the Sacred Beast which I highly recommend! A mini city tour on the streetcar followed taking us to Findlay Market . The Market has an amazing array of just about anything edible you could wish for. I would highly recommend taking one of Cincinnati Food Tour tours, you will not regret it!See more..

My classmates from The Toledo Hospital School of Nursing, class of '67 visited Amish Country to celebrate our 75th birthdays. We chose Troyer's Amish Tours , 3 hour tour with an Amish home cooked meal. From the moment we arrived and met our guide, we knew we were going to have a very informative tour and we were not disappointed. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining as we wandered through the countryside. Our tour ended with a home cooked Amish meal. The food was phenomenal and the hostess was warm and welcoming. Her children, who served the meal, captivated with their politeness and poise. I would recommend this tour to everyone.See more..
I attended a Kitchen Clinic hosted by A La Carte Food Tours May 9th, 2015. The clinic was all about cake. The host Sheila Campbell was so enlightening and knowledgeable about cake! We tasted a variety of cakes (I think 5 total!) and learned about the Chemistry and ingredients in cakes. Great tips and helpful skills were demonstrated so I know I can now make cakes from scratch and they will turn out delicious. Learned about how to make our own cake flour out of all- purpose, how to make our own vanilla extract... We had a range of ages in the clinic 2nd grade and up and Sheila did a great job accomodating everyone! She is an excellent presenter. This clinic was worth the time and money - the money I will save by making my own vanilla alone! Thanks Sheila & Ron for a great 2 hours!!See more..

It was fun to experience 6 different restaurant on the walking tour! We had a great mix of food and drink samples from the establishments. The walk was great in between each place and we didn't have to walk too long to get to the next one (all on flat ground with no hills!). It was great to hear some history about some of the restaurants plus a visit from the chef at some places like Saretas. The variety was amazing and you definitely get full by the time you're done. Everbody got a poker chip with the logo on it that you can take back to a restaurant for a special deal. It took about 3 hours and a great mid afternoon excursion. Definitely will visit some of my favorite stops for a full meal.See more..
I recently ordered a 6" Turkey Club Sub with bacon and many additional vegetables / toppings / condiments, Waffle Fries, and an $0.89 can of Adirondack Ginger Ale from one of the coolers. The sub was particularly excellent. The Waffle Fries seemed like they could have been left in the fryer a bit longer. The Adirondack Ginger Ale was not great, but I'm often not a huge fan of pop / soda that isn't made with real sugar / cane sugar, anyways. But, seriously, the sub was so delicious that I still rate the experience a 5 and simply plan on trying one of the higher priced cane sugar ginger ales next time. Cool place.See more..
