ZACH with American Legacy Tours gave us a fantastic (impromptu) historical tour of downtown Cincy! We booked the wrong day by accident...showed up during crazy busy BLINK and by chance ran into him. He thoughtfully showed us a few highlights and gave us ideas on where to enjoy the city. My husband booked a tour of the city which included at least 6 different restaurants for a sample of their signature treat. We were blessed with 45 degrees weather in December, so it was a beautiful day to stroll around the city. Our tour guide Beth, was amazing! She was friendly,kind and very knowledgeable! Since we were the only folks on the tour we did not feel rushed. We also were able to ask lots of questions. We truly enjoyed the city of Cincinnati,and highly recommend Riverside Food Tours for an incredible experience of food,sights and plenty of history! In the quaint town of Marietta, Ohio is an overlooked gem I hope this review will help you find. That gem is the Anchorage Mansion. In the process of being restored, this building gives you the feeling of what is was to live a privileged life in times gone by. Our tour guide, Karita, as well as the people in the gift shop were kind, welcoming, and eager to answer any questions you might have about the building, its history, and its ghosts. Did I say GHOSTS? Yes, this building is haunted. You can obtain ghost hunting equipment like you see on TV and conduct your own ghost hunt. I encountered spirits as did my daughter who went with me on the tour. Can't say enough kind things about Karita who was extremely knowledgeable and patient in answering questions.See more..

The couple that owns the property are lovely people who are doing something very nice for butterflies and the nature around them. They warned us before paying that there might not be as many butterflies due to the overcast weather. We took the chance because it was only $5 per person, and it was well worth it. We saw many butterflies enjoying the plants on their path. At the end, she even showed us some caterpillars she had and took the lid off so I could take pictures. If you are driving by or in the area, it is worth stopping by!See more..
