5.0Hocking Hills Canopy Tours(4.417 reviews) - "X" Tour Sunday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks
We had a family reunion in Hocking Hills over the July 4th holiday and booked the "X" Tour. Justin and Raquel were AWESOME guides and really made the experience great - there is a little bit of downtime while you're waiting on the platform and they did a great job of telling stories and asking questions to get to know us all better. I was nervous to zip-line because I am not a fan of heights; however, the guides made me feel comfortable and after a few of the lines I was jumping off without a worry in the world. I would definetly recommend this tour if you're visiting the area!See more..

Cuyahoga Valley NP is an unusual national park in several ways. While it has the usual scenic trails, natural beauty and history, it’s intermixed with towns, farms and especially roads, including the two interstates that bisect the park, and whose traffic you can hear virtually everywhere in the park. There’s a ski resort, an outdoor music venue and operating industry within the park boundaries, This is not, in other words, an isolated back country getaway, and it’s even unclear when you are in the park and when you are in a neighboring community. As a National Park, it’s pretty understated. The most interesting and unique geographic features are the “ledges” rock formations visible on a 2-mile hike. There’s also the picturesque Brandywine Falls and smaller Blue Hen Falls, and a beaver marsh; nice enough, but more like the kinds of features you see in state parks rather than in a national park. The park was originally a canal with industrial uses, and remnants of these and exhibits about this history are plentiful. A passenger train and towpath traverse the sprawling park and would be a good way to see it. Overall, it’s a park with nice hiking and biking trails, a river to paddle, and historic villages to enjoy, but it doesn’t have the incredible vistas and natural features of the most famous national parks. It also doesn’t have an entrance fee, which seems to be a recognition that it’s not a top tier national park.See more..

5.0Valley Zipline Tours(606 reviews) - Great day trip! Sunday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks
Chris and Chad were wonderful guides. They did a great job of making sure that everyone felt comfortable with the procedures and had a safe and enjoyable time. The entire staff was very entertaining, and conscientious of their guests needs. They pointed us to the spotless restroom when we first arrived after a long journey, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. They provided water mid-course, and even directed us to some of the best pub-food I have ever had (at O'Huids) when the course was though. My husband and I were on a day trip and shared our tour with a lively group of women celebrating their 60th birthdays. A good time seemed to be shared by all. Thank you for the experience!See more..

4.0Great Wolf Lodge Water Park(438 reviews) - We can Check this Great Wolf Lodge Off Our Bucket List; 5 Visited Water Parks
Everything was nice. The rooms were clean, beds are great to sleep in, food is good and game room has plenty of choices for every age group. Bowling was fun, as well. This resort is more designed for younger children. There is definitely room for improvement ~ swim areas ~ need larger swimming pool and larger lazy river (rocks with waterfalls coming down in various areas of the lazy river ~ both inside and outside areas, some larger slides and increase hours to swim. Otherwise, everything was great See more..

Stopped by while in the area not knowing exactly what to expect. We walked down and saw the sculptures which were really neat. Sand is soft but somewhat rocky. There is a large area to accommodate a lot of people. They have ample parking and a few paths to walk. At the end of the path is an old lighthouse. Right now the end of the beach where the breakwall and building are, is closed off for wildlife. The water quality was poor for the day so there were not many people in the water. Also, the swim area seems very close to shore. I don't know how quickly it drops off, but I was a bit surprised. We did like seeing the walk path was mattes to the beach. Each trail was a different type of ground (sandy Beach path, harder trail though the shady area, part was a boardwalk). There were multiple parking lots, changing areas, and places for refuse and recycling. We enjoyed watching the boats. See more..

5.0Wild Zipline Safari(317 reviews) - Zip around the Zoo! Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks
The ziplines are safe and a lot of fun. I am typically afraid of heights but this was not scary. We felt very safe, the guides took the time to make sure we were comfortable and they paid close attention to detail of the equipment before each zip,See more..
5.0Rocky River Reservation(309 reviews) - Fantastic park system! Sunday: 6:00 AM - 11:00 PM Parks
Such a great treasure for the Cleveland area! Miles of bike and jogging paths, mostly paved. It follows a river, so plenty of opportunities to see animal life like deer, bald eagles, herons, king fishers, ground hogs, ducks and much more. Take a picnic lunch in your backpack and stop basically anywhere to enjoy. There's kayaking & paddle boarding at the north end of the park, where you can paddle out to the open waters of lake Erie. So much fun!See more..

Practicing covid safety rules but can't controll guests from breaking the rules. They had limited people in the pool but some guests stayed all day keeping other guests from enjoying the pool. The food is not great. But the staff are all very nice. Wish they had bottled water in the room. We enjoyed the shuffle board and sitting out by the fire pits and watching the sunset. One of my favorite parks in the Toledo Metropark system, this park gives you all the beauty and thrill of nature! I highly recommend visiting in the fall... early to mid November. 5.0Common Ground Canopy Tours(213 reviews) - Perfect Family Adventure Sunday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks • Nature & Wildlife Tours
During a visit to Lake Erie we took a detour to Oberlin for the canopy tour zip line adventure. We took our two 14-year-old boys and had an amazing time! The tour guides were a lot of fun to talk with and had lots to share about the trees, the area, silly jokes and had a great way of connecting with the group. We were so pleased with our adventure and would definitely return! Highly recommended. We look forward to more zip line adventures as a family now because our experience was so great.See more..
4.5Schiller Park(190 reviews) - Calming Respite from the City Parks
This is a lovely park in German Village. There was ample parking, the area was clean, some gorgeous sculptures, a fountain, a little bridge over a large pond, and a play was being performed here free on the evening we visited. I would definitely return the next time I'm in the area.See more..
This park was really nice. We stopped to play/visit along the way. Then we went to one of the beach areas. It was so nice. There was a cement retaining wall to sit along, if you didn't want to be in the sand. You could wade out a long way without getting very wet! The teenage birds in our group had lots of fun! We got a little sunburned, but thay was our own fault. There was a great lake breeze, so we never felt TOO hot!See more..
4.0Alum Creek State Park(178 reviews) - Great State Park. Speeding traffic is awful & constant!!! State Parks
We love camping in state parks and this park is great. The camp sites are separated by trees, which is great not to have other camper stacked upon each other. There is a lake for boating and swimming. Closer to the shore is a swimming area. However, the campground has a smaller access to the lake beach for campers. I loved this state campground, I only wish they would put in speed bumps or anything to slow down this traffic. There is a 10 mph sign posted but I literally seen no one (even the parks own trucks) doing 10 mph. This prevented us from walking and exploring more of the campground. This is a great state campground, if you can get past the speeding traffic & I mean fast speeding traffic.See more..

I was driving down the street and noticed an interesting statue. As I got closer, I realized it was three rabbits frolicking on top of a hill. The hill was set in a park that was otherwise flat. I parked and walked the entire park to observe the City of Dublin cares about the aesthetics of its parks. One can only imagine the mentality of dogs walking in the park when they see these super sized rabbits on top of the hill. See more..
We stay at the Shawnee State Park campground and it was amazing! They have running water in the restroom, shower houses with hot water, and a laundry facility. We had campsite 11 and it was spacious with shade and plenty of room for our two cars (a truck and car) and two tents. They had a fire ring and picnic table and electric so we were able to charge phones (no cell service) and run fans. There was multiple hiking trails located at the camp ground and access to the lake for finishing, swimming, and kayaking. The campground is dog friendly. With COVID happening right now all sites must be reserved prior to showing up (plan ahead) and the camp store was not stocked (no ice, very little firewood) so come prepared with everything you need. I highly recommend staying here and hiking!See more..

5.0Lakewood Park(151 reviews) - Wonderful park! Great views of Lake Erie and Cleveland! Parks
Wonderful park! The evening we visited, it was windy and cloudy with chances of rain, but still enjoyable. The water on Lake Erie looked like ocean waves. The park is great for evening/morning walks, taking in the views and relaxing. Nicely maintained pathways and accessible ramps. Lots of seating areas. Several impromptu yoga classes. Parking is plentiful, if you arrive about 1 hour before sunset, or earlier. A lot of people show up for sunset views, so the earlier you get there in the summer months, the better. Bring family and friends to enjoy a meal in the park with a great view of Lake Erie on one side and downtown Cleveland on the other.See more..
4.5Winton Woods Park(151 reviews) - Country feeling in the midst of a city Bodies of Water • Parks • Playgrounds

5.0Go Ape Zipline & Adventure Park(144 reviews) - Treetop Journey was fun for 11-year-olds Sunday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks • Climbing Tours
We did the Treetop Journey for an 11yo girls birthday party. They had a ball and enjoyed the course. An hour was exactly the right amount of time. We used inexpensive gardening gloves, which worked well…better than $9/pair there. For a hot day, a cooler with cold drinks is the perfect compliment.See more..

our first family vacation with our kids and grandkids, we had a great time ate at the lodge several times, toured the area, went to the beach, rented pontoons for evening ride on the lake and visited hocking hills on sunday was a great time with our family, only downsize was the size of bathrooms very small, would recommend having the door open out instead of in to give a little more room and getting wifi in case anyone has an emergency back home as we traveled over 2 hours one way to stay and didnt realize no internet until we were there. but was still ok made us talk to each other more which was very nice and play board games together will definately be back for another trip with our family. beautiful amazing views every where we went was great trip for sureSee more..
Between the cabins and campground, I highly recommend the cabins. They're near a secluded area of the lake, but the much-frequented beach is also easily accessed. Perfect for family gatherings as well as friend's gatherings.See more..
