Stephanie, the waitress, did an excellent job serving the bar and tables. We enjoyed their savignon blanc and their specialty drink, a dirty snowball (delicious). We met old friends as well as new friends during our visit. This establishment was a general store when I was growing up in Milan. The owner has extensely restored this building to the past. We arrived around noon on a Saturday and we were immediately greeted by the head of hospitality, Max. I was not only impressed by Max’s good looks, but also his personable demeanor and welcoming attitude. Unfortunately, Max is a dog and was unable to give us much information about the wine offerings. The man behind the counter, however was able to give us all of the information we needed. We didn’t catch this man’s name but he was extremely helpful and told us what wine to get based on our preferences. We tried both the Pinot noir and the Cabernet franc and both were delicious! We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the weather and watching the resident Amish child pick weeds out of the garden. He did a great job. We found this wine bar on a random Friday after Googling “wine bars near me.” It’s a great place with friendly patrons and staff. They have a great selection of seldom seen wines. I’m always a fan of finding new bottles to buy. You can order a glass, use the tasting machine, or buy a bottle and drink among friends. Wines were mostly sweet to semi-sweet with one Cab. Owners were friendly and present. We were a large group and they held a table for us. It was our first time, we will come back. They were accommodating. Ages of people there ranged from mid twenties to early 70s and everyone in-between. We will stop back again.
