Not being Catholic, I had passed by this exit many times and not stopped. On a recent 'tour of NW Ohio' we decided to stop and check it out. The church is beautiful. Be sure to visit downstairs - it shows all the crutches and canes and casts and testimonials of those who had been healed - it gave me goose bumps. I was also reminded that healing is often an emotional and mental healing as well as physical healing. There is a lovely gift shop across the street as well as a beautiful park and shrine at the end of the street. Be sure to read about the procession in the pouring rain! We spent about 30-40 minutes - but I'm sure you could spend a bit more time.See more..

I drop in for the late Mass from time to time. My children love it and consider it a special treat to go to St. Nicholas. The music is organ and cantor. The current priest can preach a cogent homily. The real highlight of St. Nicholas is the interior of the church. If you go to Mass, you kind of know what you are getting but the surroundings can vary radically in this area. The interior of St. Nicholas is unmatched in the nearby counties. A word for visitors, most of the parking is on a slope.See more..

If you enjoy beautiful churches this is a must see if you're close to Celina, OH. It has been beautifully restores. It was erected in 1903. A cry room for small babies and children upstairs on the right side if looking at the alter. An elevator is also located on that side if needed. Restrooms in the basement, as well as handicapped and baby changing room. The basement can also be rented and has a fully stocked and equipped kitchen if needed. This is a very small community church but decorations may amaze you. Fr Lawrence J Tebbe was a CPPS priest who was in charge of the church in the 1930's. He did not only paintings in church but also dabbled in wood working and laying brick. The painting in the church are murals with hand painted trim around windows and doors. The paintings remind me of WPA style of painting but with an ethereal feel. It won't take more than 20 minutes for a visit, but to my mind seeing the church is worth it.See more..

It is the one which our daughter's family goes for Mass as well as other events. It is very modern with beautiful sculptures. The Sculptor also did statues for the Vatican.
