Great time kayaking the Cuyahoga River! It was a very peaceful location to kayak. Kayaks were newer and in great shape as were the life jackets. Employees were knowledgeable about the river and made sure we knew what we were doing before setting us off on our adventure. My wife and I had a great day exploring part of the covered bridge trail. The scenery is beautiful and worth the drive on paved and gravel roads. We picked up a map at the Covered Bridge Festival office in Jefferson at the county courthouse. The map was fairly easy to follow but you have to be careful looking for the signs along the road that mark the trail. Be patient with your self and your traveling companion if you make a wrong turn. We were here in mid-September before the leaves turned. We can't image how spectacular the scenery would be a few weeks later. If you are traveling with children or bored teens you might want to consider hitting only a few of the bridges, especially where kids could wade in some of the shallow rivers.See more..
My mom and I did a 3 hour ride and it was so much fun! We quickly got the hang of it and we went on the trails. We went over 6 miles on the Towpath trail in Cuyahoga National Park. We rode to an area and had a little bit of ice cream, then kept riding. The workers explained how the bike worked and gave us the phone number to call if we needed them. The seat and handle bars were adjustable if needed. We were able to clip in a backpack to the back of the bike. This is a MUST if you are in the area!!!!See more..
It is fun to go around Wilmington Ohio and see the quilts all over the barn I have fun doing it since it is only 15 minutes away from us.See more..

Have to give a shout out here to Hocking Hills Bike Rentals! My son loves to ride dirt bikes but doesn’t have enough free time anymore for it to make sense for us to own one. Hocking Hills Bike Rentals is 1 hour from our front door and not only rented us the bike and gear he needed, they let us use the track and trails on their property and provided some 1:1 guidance and company for my son while he rode today! We could have chosen to have the bike and gear delivered to another track or trail somewhere but the owner’s property was perfect for today’s outing. Family-owned by a couple of vets…can’t say enough about the fun my husband and son had today! Give them a call if it’s something you or your kiddo would like to try! They have e-bikes too!See more..
