    - Beautiful winery
    Sunday: 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Wineries & Vineyards
    Laurentia Vineyard and Winery image
The inspiration of opening a winery originated from the love of fine wines and the charming local wineries of the Grand River Valley. Opening a winery evolved into more than just an idea when two brothers were hunting in Idaho. While sampling some wines from California, it became clear that Northeast Ohio also has the potential to offer great wines. From here the idea came to life when the search began for the perfect place to make Laurentia a home. Things materialized as we acquired land for our vines and eventually this spot to build our winery. Plantings commenced in 2011 and in the following years while we broke ground for our production building and beautiful winery in 2013. It has been a long, exciting process, but we are completely rewarded with the end result and welcome you to share our joy See more..

    Silver Moon Winery image
It's nice to find that some things are still open during the pandemic. We just happened to be heading past on the highway and saw the signs. It was serendipitous. We made a U-turn with our motorhome and headed back. Because the World is crazy right now, we could not have a tasting. The clerk was excellent in her descriptions of anything that we picked out. She paired our desires with the wines. We ended up buying a case of different selections and, in doing so, got 10% off! Getting to the next stop on our trip, we sampled two and were very good. I would go there again. Most wines were $10 to $15. See more..

There are so many wines to try and I have yet to have a bad one, sweet, dry, or in the middle. We were stoked when they added beer to the menu and have enjoyed taking friends from all over the country here when they come in to town. The wine is so affordable, too, that we always stock up while we’re there. A great place for fun gatherings where you can bring your own food and board games, or try what they have on offer. - Wine Bottlers who know where to find good stuff.
Spent 1-2 hours Wineries & Vineyards
    Rocky Point Winery image
We came for a tasting flight. Several other area wineries had disappointed on this trip, so it was a pleasure to start our afternoon in a place that takes pride in their operation. Rocky Point does not fram their own grapes nor ferment their wines, they find suppliers (and good ones!) and bottle their product. They offer a standard tasting of six, nively preented in an old style milk bottle carrier. Well worth a visit for the wine lover. See more..

One of Ohio’s hidden gems in a very rural setting. Beautiful surrounding area which is perfect for sampling and sipping wine. We went for lunch. Food was fresh and excellent. Our server Maddie was very personable. The owner, Neil, spent some time with us talking about their wines. Our favorite was the Sangiovese followed by the Estate Cab. Our twins recently decided on Ohio University and now we have a favorite winery 10 miles from campus. Can’t wait to return!! See more..

    Markko Vineyard image
I love this place and stop anytime I am in the area. This a working winery that produces some of the best wine anywhere. Arnie is a gracious host and a trove of wine knowledge. I've visited Sonoma, Napa, Rhine, Alsace, the winery does NOT resemble Domain Chandon. I've enjoyed reading the negative reviews; yes, there are dogs; loveable Briards and FYI all wineries have mice. If you live in the tri-state area here is a local business you can support AND enjoy terrific wine...or you can buy a bottle of Yellow Tail from the grocery store and save yourself the effort required. Much like visiting Epcot - it's so much better than actually going to Europe :) See more..

    Myrddin Winery image
My husband discovered this quaint little winery several years ago and brought me for my first visit last weekend. Set back in the woods down a wooded pathway on the banks of lower Lake Milton, this quiet and secluded winery is just what you need if you're looking to get away for a bit. The owner's pooch greets you with a smile and escorts you down the path to the winery. The owners are equally friendly. Burgers on the menu are cooked on a grill and served with chips and homemade potatoe salad. You really feel at ease here and everyone treats you like they've known you all your life. Wonderful selection of wines. I recommend the Vivien and for cranberry lovers, their cranberry wine. Unfinished bottles are corked and sealed for the ride home to enjoy later. Can't wait to go back! We had a flight of wines which you are able to pick out and choose yourself and 3 of us shared a cheese platter. The favorites were the Blackberry and Three Berry Blend and their special Santa Sangria for the holidays. I would visit again. BTW, the grapes are California grapes, but they do make their own wine. Filia Cellars image
Filia Cellars is an amazing winery. Wadsworth is a 35 minute drive from Westlake, however the quality of the wine, the friendly service, and the live music make it a destination. Please be aware that the wine is NOT cheap, sweet wine you would get on the islands, but more refined, blended and complex like California wines. Because Filia Cellars is a winery and not a restaurant, you can bring your own appetizers or food. During the summer months Filia Cellars has food trucks come to the winery, and the live music is outside with the fire pit, pond and ducks. Dogs are welcomed as well. See more..
