    Best falls in the U.P.
Taquamenon Falls state park is located in northeastern U.P. We started at the lower falls and walked to the far viewing platform. Nice easy walk and awesome view of the falls. Start your trip early on weekends because the parking lot started filling up at around 10am on Saturday. Our second stop was at the upper falls. The walk to the last viewing platform is down 94 steps. Be careful because some of the wooden steps are slippery when wet. Hold on to the handrails. Make sure if you are in an out of state vehicle to ask for your vehicle pass when you pay your $9 entrance fee. We did not know that we were supposed to get a pass when we paid and luckily a lady working at the gift shop told us to ask for one before we drove to the upper falls parking area. This is a must see if you are in the U.P.

Tahquamenon Falls is a great set of falls that I am glad we finally got to visit.
Easy hike to the Lower and Upper Falls of the Tahquamenon Falls State Park. We paid a $10 state park daily fee to enter the Lower Falls first and then the Upper Falls was free if done the same day. Both falls were beautiful and we got some good pictures. The Lower Falls is in the process of building a gift shop and restrooms. The stairs can be a little challenging to ascend, but going down was fine. Nicely maintained pathways help alot.
