The other reviews are true. This place isn't overly crowded but that's a welcome change from every other public beach area in Florida. There are just enough vendors to make the visit exciting. Shops offer fun memorabilia and clothing. The outdoor area had kids performing during our visit. There are vagrants walking around but never had an issue with begging or felt unsafe.See more..
4.0Pompano Municipal Pier(522 reviews) - Lovely pier to visit Sunday: 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM Piers & Boardwalks
This is one of the nicest piers that we have visited- the walkway was expansive and the pier felt so solid and substantial. We felt very safe walking on the pier. Masks were required . It was not very crowded and most of the people we saw had masks on. There were a few people fishing and we saw at least 2 fishermen who were successful in catching fish. One had to throw back his catch as it was under 18" - it was a snapper . A couple of fishermen had several lines in the water and was just going back and forth to check their lines. We were told that you didn't have to get a license to fish from the pier but you had to pay $6 a day . We had a great time watching the people fishing , talking to some of the fishermen and just relaxing on one of the many benches on the pier enjoying the sea breeze and the views. Planned to go back for a second visit but couldn't find the time.See more..

4.5Downtown St Petersburg(492 reviews) - Paradise Found Spent More than 3 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks • Historic Walking Areas • Piers & Boardwalks
I really love the look and feel of downtown St Petersburg. I’m not sure what it is, maybe its the architecture or the salt sea air, but it’s definitely got a Mediterranean flavor to it: sort of a mix between between Nice and Monica but on a smaller scale. People were out and about early enjoying coffee and a croissant at the sidewalk cafe’s much like they do in the south of France. Others were strolling along the harbor or sitting under the banyan tree soaking up the sun. And lets not forget the swish boutiques where one can easily part with ones hard earned money. I haven't even started on the Dali or Chihuly Museum or the free Downtown Looper Trolley that takes you there, Dang but I want to move here.See more..

4.5Flagler Beach Municipal Pier(346 reviews) - Nice pier especially for $1 with free parking. Piers & Boardwalks
I was raised in Pismo Beach, CA where walking on the long pier is a nightly after dinner event. The Flagler Pier is not long or at least not by Pismo Beach standards, but it is well maintained and as a senior only costs $1. Lots of people were bottom fishing with bait, but we didn’t see any fish being caught. One interesting thing is many of the planks where you walk on the pier have engraving such as memorializing a loved one. I posted some pics showing the carved planks. Cool pier and if I lived here I’d be a regular visitor.See more..

We loved visiting this pier on our vacation. We parked a few blocks away. It’s free to walk on the pier. There is a restaurant but we did not dine there. We saw birds and a lot of people fishing. Fish is free and they offer pole and bait rentals for a small fee. There are also bathrooms. See more..

We were really excited to cross this engineering masterpiece spanning the Tampa Bay. There are two fishing piers on each side of the bridge. We stopped at the southern one in Mantee County rest area. This pier is longer and takes you closer to the central pylons. Entry fee for one hour tourist visit without fishing is around 3$. From the pier's end there are great views of the entire bridge and bay.See more..
Such a nice place to hang out. Beautiful views of the bay. There are jet ski rentals, places to fish, a super long pier to walk out and fish or just take a stroll. There is a boat launch, so many boats here. I could spend the entire day here at the park, fishing, and taking in the views.See more..
We had a blast watching the surfers riding the waves when we were here. You do have to walk through Crabby Joe's to get to the pier. We had a easy bite while we were there for our lunch. There were many on the pier fishing. Honestly, I have no idea if they were catching any fish considering my eyes were glued on the surfers who were putting on a wonderful show without even knowing it.See more..

I loved this Pier so much!! It’s definitely the place to visit in St. Pete. You can park on the street ( some places are even free the rest you pay with your phone’s app) or at a public parking lot. As you walk towards the three story pier you will enjoy the gorgeous view and breeze of this impecable place. Chatted with local people fishing. Nice little area on the southern part of the island. Close to some bars, shops and delicious restaurants. Our favorite was Bamboo Island. It’s upstairs and has an awesome selection of foods. Lots of night life and live music at night.See more..
4.5Wabasso Beach Park(66 reviews) - A Wonderful Place to Enjoy the Atlantic Spent < 1 hour Piers & Boardwalks • Beaches
One of the first places we stopped. The surf was quiet when we were there with only a few beach goers. A couple of jet skis were plying the water and there wasn't much swimming. We were impressed by the tranquility of the area. Later we were told this is a good place for surfing in the winter when the waves come in., There was lots of parking and a great experience for us. Appears to be a great spot to watch the sunrise.See more..
4.5Ponce Inlet Jetty(62 reviews) - Easy walk to the beach to surfer watch Spent < 1 hour Piers & Boardwalks
There is a $10 fee to enter the park but it is worth it. It is an easy walk down the boardwalk to the beach. If you walk out on the jetty you can watch the surfers. The day we were there we spotted 30 surfers. If you walk to the other end of the beach you have a great view of the lighthouse. There is also a "dog beach" on the end so feel free to bring your four legged friend. But be warned he may not be the only one there. We spotted a huge turtle out for his afternoon snack.See more..

4.0William O Lockhart Municipal Pier(55 reviews) - Peaceful Easy Feeling Sunday: 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM Spent More than 3 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks • Piers & Boardwalks
Visited here for first time fishing in Florida. Also took a friend for his first time fishing ever. The cost to fish from pier was only $3.50 per adult individual for the day. The cost to walk the pier is only $1.00 for an adult. The pier is in great shape, showing signs of constant up-keep. There is ample room for fishermen/fisherwomen and spectators alike. There is seating and shade spots all along the pier. Lots of pelicans to see, along with an abundance of marine life to observe. I spotted many sea turtles, a school of tarpon, schools of fish, and sand sharks. Families walking the pier had a great time interacting with the fisherpersons. I did not visit the bar or restaurant on the pier, so I cannot give a review of these. They were packed however.See more..

We did the beach sunset pictures but were looking for something a little bit more unique and found it at the fishing pier. We took our shots on the adjacent bridge which had a protected walkway in addition to being a traffic bridge (see middle picture). There is a path from one bridge to the next so you can easily change locations within a minute. If you prefer people photography starting in the early morning the pier is filled with people fishing,Colorful chairs and umbrellas. See more..

4.0Keegan Clair Park(6 reviews) - It is a bunch of docks Piers & Boardwalks
It is a bunch of docks. But my fiancé and I found it to be a beautiful quiet place to watch the sunrise. I’m very happy this was right next to our vacation rental we were at. It was in walking distance. There is a volleyball court, and then there is a bunch of docks for boats. It was very quiet early in the morning. There was some people fishing. There was a really cool heron that frequents there when talking to some of the locals that owns that dock. Scares any other herons or birds that come by, and is a very good fisher. He was a pretty bird to watch while watching the sunrise. If you want a quiet place to watch sunrises this is a perfect spot. I came here at least 3-4x during the week I was in Indian beach, FL to specifically watch the sunrise.See more..

4.5Osprey Fishing Pier(3 reviews) - A peaceful place to fish or enjoy the water views Spent 1-2 hours Piers & Boardwalks
We found this place by chance and we're glad we did. We're always looking for a place to drop a line and sit a bit hoping to catch the elusive fish. While we didn't catch any fish on our visits here, the scenery and serenity were terrific. This is a great place to just enjoy the peace and quiet and watch a boat or two go by. Maybe the next time we'll catch a fish.See more..
