Ponce Inlet Jetty, Florida, United States
4.5 (62 reviews) Spent < 1 hour Ranking #4 in Ponce Inlet Piers & Boardwalks
Easy walk to the beach to surfer watch
There is a $10 fee to enter the park but it is worth it. It is an easy walk down the boardwalk to the beach. If you walk out on the jetty you can watch the surfers. The day we were there we spotted 30 surfers. If you walk to the other end of the beach you have a great view of the lighthouse. There is also a "dog beach" on the end so feel free to bring your four legged friend. But be warned he may not be the only one there. We spotted a huge turtle out for his afternoon snack.

Nice place to see sunrise or sunset
Its part of the lighthouse park. You can walk out about 100 yards or so to the end. Pretty scenes with the water splashing over the rocks.

Fishing and More
We came upon the jetty after walking through Light House Point Park. While walking along the jetty we saw numerous species of birds, a sea turtle, and several fishermen. They told us some of the many kinds of fish that can be caught there and one even showed us his sizeable catch. We saw several fishing charters near the end of the jetty and other larger boats heading out for deep sea fishing. The jetty is at the end of a stretch of nearly deserted beach where you can relax and listen to the waves, watch the boats, and fish if you choose. We went before lunch time on a cool day so it could become more crowded at other times. The closest parking can be found at the Winterhaven Parking lot. You will also find restrooms and picnic tables there.
