Besides the weather been a little cold and my teen age getting seasick we had a blast. Paddle boarded in Daytona on 02/07/23 12:30 PM and it was a great time. We didn't have much luck with the wildlife, but the day was beautiful and our group was fun. Ryan was our tour guide and he was very informative, entertaining, and personable with all of us! He was also kind enough to get a few pictures of us while out on the water!!! We bought phone bags so we could take pictures out on the water and not worry about dropping our phones. They have cute colors at the shop for around $13! We went on the 4 hour sunset charter with Captain Aaron and his wife, which included stopping for dinner at the Marina Jack restaurant. Our group of 5 had an amazing time aboard the One Love! We saw lots of wildlife including dolphins and beautiful birds, watched the sun set, ate a delicious meal, and then Captain Aaron navigated us home under the stars. It was so cool to be one of the few boats out on the water at night. Captain Aaron and his wife provided great company, as well as good music and conversation-- they shared many fun facts about the area and pointed out celebrity homes along the way. We would definitely recommend this private charter experience as opposed to the bigger cruise boats that we saw out on the water. Captain Traci was fantastic! We had an early morning tour with our two boys, 3 and 7, and she also had her mom and sister on our tour. They were all very friendly and took pictures to share with us. Our kids were so excited but a little afraid to get in the water with the manatee but they were great at talking to them and showing them where to look while my husband and I were in the water. Captain Mark is an excellent guide and fisherman! On our trip out today, we went out to a remote area and caught fish after fish. We did the 3 hour Manatee tour with Captain Ron and it was amazing! We got to swim with and pet lots of manatees. We were in the perfect spot...they just kept coming. We even saw some dolphins and monkeys right when we got on the boat. Captain Ron did a great job instructing us on where and how to swim up to the manatees so we wouldn't scare them away. The tips were great and listening sure paid off! This was an experience of a lifetime! Highly recommend it. And Captain Wyn was so patient with answering all of my questions when booking. He even talked us out of spending the extra money on a stand-up paddleboard, knowing we wouldn't have enough time to use it. Thanks for saving us the extra $50! We had our family visiting and wanted a fun and different experience for them. We found Suncoast online and booked a 2 hour Dolphin Tour thinking that would be all the kid (ages 12 & 8) could handle. It turns out we could have stayed out all day. Captain Cary was fantastic at not only captaining the boat but finding and attracting the dolphins and keeping us all entertained with facts about the wildlife and surrounding area. A group of 5 of us booked a 4 hour charter for a 30th birthday celebration. Our entire experience was wonderful! We arranged transportation with Donna which is great if you don’t have a car or want to worry about driving. But I think the best part was captain Matt! He was very friendly and polite. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time! Water, ice, and light snacks were provided. He took us on a scenic route, pointing out different homes and wildlife along the way. We ended up seeing quite a few dolphins! Then we stopped at a sandbar where we were able to get out and swim. He also took us to a bar & grill on the water for a quick drink before heading back. Matt played great music for us and hyped us up the whole time! He took all kinds of group photos for us which turned out great. I took a 2-hour sunset cruise with Captain Gary and it was a wonderful experience. I was traveling solo and one advantage of going through Smallwood Store was that visiting the museum offered an opportunity to meet and team up with another solo traveler (so we could share the minimum cost). Gary is patient, kind, knowledgeable, skilled, funny, and great company. He's part of a historic family in the area, which adds a lot to the experience, and he knows a lot about wildlife. We took the 10am boat tour today and it was enjoyable, comfortable, and relaxing. The crew is very attentive and goes above and beyond to narrate the tour and point out all wildlife, not just dolphins. We were lucky to see a mama dolphin and her baby, as well as a quick look at one near the inlet. Some of the people's comments on here are ridiculous. It's nature, not an amusement park. They can't control where the dolphins go. A little over $20 for a nice boat ride is very fair, and if you get to see the dolphins consider it an extra bonus.See more..

My family and I went on the echo dolphin tour then the next morning we went on the back Waters fishing charter. Captain Doc and Gina were the best, they were outstanding. We saw a lot of dolphins and different wildlife during the dolphin tour and caught a bunch of fish during the fishing charter. I highly recommend to anyone looking into the dolphin tour or charter. To say that Captain Carlos is the Dolphin Whisperer is an understatement! He thinks like them and found them for our viewing pleasure. He is very knowledgeable, the boat is first class, and the dolphin watching is beyond fantastic. It is the best thing we have ever done while vacationing in IRB for 8 years now. I took my 84 year old mother on the tour. She had never seen dolphins in the wild and in the bay we saw lots of them. It was a cloudy, cool and windy day and even though we had layers on we made use of the blankets that they wonderfully had on board as well. The tour guides were wonderful with facts about the dolphins and information on some of the beautiful homes in the area. Because it is a pontoon type vessel the tour would be wonderful for families, although it was all adults on our tour. You will pay to park at John's Pass where the tour is based, but we had no trouble finding a place to park. If you book ahead of time the ticket area is on the same level as the boat and in the buildings right behind the dock. There is a restroom there as well.See more..

I went on Patsy's boat with 3 of my friends and we loved it! We really liked the fact that it was a small boat with a personal tour experience at a very reasonable price. She was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the area. The staff was beyond exceptional; friendly and helpful. We had lots of questions and werent really sure what to do with a few extrA days in the gulf of Florida. We picked the restaurant and beach full day. It certainly was enjoyable and worth it but if had been better prepared, we could have packed our own lunch and spent the full day at the beach. Captain Mike was very entertainment and engaging to all audiences. He knows the area like nonother and enjoys telling the history of the land. December weather was perfect to enjoy a day on the boat, beach chair and snorkeling. We collected beautiful shells and enjoyed the state park. Restrooms were available and park staff operated a trolly to transport visitors from the boat dock to the beach access. It qas a beautiful place to see and learn about. We booked a 3 hour sightseeing trip with Captain Casey, and had so much fun that we chartered another 4 hour fishing trip and then a further 4 hour combined trip. For the fun that we had, the trips were well worthwhile. The boat is very safe and well maintained, and great for being out in the bay surrounding the Anna Maria area, and the 4 people in our party were made very welcome and provided with drinks. Captain Casey is such a great person; she is extremely knowledgeable about the area and showed us lots of the local scenery including Passage Key and Egmont Key. From a fishing perspective, she is super, being very professional with lines, baiting and fishing locations, and helped us to catch some great fish as well. All in all these trips made up some of the best memories of our visit to Anna Maria, and I would not hesitate to use Captain Casey again.See more..

Did a wildlife tour with three kids (6 & 9) and three adults and we LOVED it. They were super flexible and responsive in scheduling & logistics. The team was super knowledgable about wildlife, and the boat was in perfect condition, comfortable, and very professionally handled. We saw a LOT of spotted dolphins, it was truly magical. We rode some waves, pulled up to do some swimming, and took the intercoastal home. A perfect day on the water, and the kids are already asking to do it again. As a group of 16 it is hard to find an activity we can all participate in at the same time, well Facebook made a suggestion & we booked it. I reserved the 2 hour tour to Jewfish Key. We started our trip with Mimosa's and snacks so we of course chose to hire captains to take us to our destination. The boats don't go as fast as regular motor boats but we didn't mind. We were like celebrities as all the large yachts beeped, waved and took pictures. WE also saw a few dolphins along the way! Once we were at the sandbar, it was like being part of a private club. What a beautiful spot to wade in the warm water & enjoy each others company. It was a beautiful day & a GREAT time was had by all! On the last day of our vacation we decided to book a sailboat excursion with Capt Marty and Janice. What a lovely day on the bay, and to watch the sunset behind St Petersburg was spectacular! The food Janice laid out was beautiful as was their boat, Dragonfly. I was initially worried this would be too much for me because I thought you had to be leaned over sideways. However, Capt Marty kept everything on an even keel so we were comfortable the whole trip. Although it's new to Tampa bay, It has a two hour cruise that will bring you photo opportunities and enjoyment for all ages. I enjoyed the boat ride and it was comfortable even when the heat index was 100. It was shaded by a full canopy and has liquid refreshments that kept us hydrated. This is an awesome way to get out on the water without having all the costs and headaches of owning a boat. They have several scheduled trips so you can choose the time that is convenient for you. Plenty of parking and many other attractions around the Little Harbor Marina. You can't beat it for the price. They also offer specialized trips for large parties. Its the only one in the area that tours on the east bay and can carry 38 passengers comfortably. The captain is very experienced and was able to get the dolphins to come up to the side of the boat.
