Really enjoyed our visit. Use your national parks card for free entry. Self guided tour using literature from ticket booth. Recommend entering the fort, and then turning left and visiting the rooms in a clockwise motion (this way you'll visit the exhibits in their chronological order) until you've completed the ground level, then proceed to the upper level for some great views. A bit more interaction from available Rangers/Reenactors would have been good, but seemed staff inside the fort was limited. See more..

    Veterans Memorial Wall image
The Veterans Memorial Wall is located in the parking lot of the Jacksonville Jaguars Stadium. It is quite the site with an eternal flame and attractive wall commemorating all of our nation's wars. I especially liked the quotes from former American Presidents such as Dwight Eisenhower and George H.W. Bush who proudly served our country. See more..

Oh, just go see Bucky. It takes 5 minutes, but he’s a treasure. We stopped by after having dinner at VIP Mexican (highly recommend). My 7 year old and my husband both got a big kick out of him. I love all the retro buildings in treasure island and Bucky used to be on top of a 1950s motel here. If you have littles, take the 5 minutes to pop by and say hi. See more..

Site of the Rosewood Massacre Memorial image
I am thankful for this memorial. Stopping there and taking a pause to read and reflect motivated me to learn more about the massacre. I did so on my return home. What a horrific time in our history. It is important that people are aware of this. Like the Holocaust, "never again" resonates clearly. See more..
