While vacationing in Weeki Wachee, Florida, our family visited this place 3 days out of our 7-day stay. It was just a leisurely 15-minute drive. Get there early in the morning because of limited parking which is only $5 a day. Restrooms, a concession stand, covered picnic tables, charcoal grills, play area for the kids with slides and swings. This is a large and very varied park. All of which is immaculate. We came for a nice open-air walk, no golfing this trip. Although most people were not wearing makes, it was a nice breezy day and you could always move away from people. It is such a calm and happy place. From the father/son flying a kite, people playing in the dog run with their dogs, picnics under the pavillions to people using watercraft. Everyone is enjoying themselves. So many things to do here. We even saw a bunch of adults playing Dodge ball. Plenty of open space. Worth the drive.See more..

Our first time to visit here and it wasn't hard to find the location. The place is beautiful and perfect to just walk around the big lake or jog. Dogs allowed in the park. This is a good place to have your baby shower, birthday party or any occasions with your family and friends as it has big pavillion and playground with a beautiful view of big lake, trees and the monument to honor veterans. This was our first time visiting this park. It was clean and well kept. It had alot of different amenities for whatever activity you are seeking The playground had useful equipment that wasnt falling apart or outdated. They had a pool and were I dealing a splash pad. The concession had lots of food options and they were at reasonable prices. I don't know what inside the recreational center looked like , but by the outside activities one would assume it was good on the inside. It has outside baskball courts , football field , swings , walking trail and soccer fields. Our boys loved the big oak trees for shade and climbing. Safe, clean, and so much to do. I took my 7 and 9 year old boys here while waiting on the next venom extraction demonstration at the Reptile Discovery Center in DeLand and was not disappointed. We came during the Christmas in July event. There's a nice big pool that goes from 4.5ft to 12ft. There is also a little kids pool. Most tables don't have an umbrella but if you ask a lifeguard they will get one for you. The day we were here there were at least 5 lifeguards. Had a nice changing room area. This is a really nice place for a stroll, especially in the early morning. White ibises let you get pretty close for photos, probably because they're occasionally being fed. There are some nice banyan trees in this park, as well as a bandstand and picnic areas. We found social distancing to be easy on the walking trail here here because the park wasn't crowded. This is an urban park, so the wildlife viewing isn't great here, but Bryant Park is connected (by walking trail) to the Snook Islands Natural Area. Whilst driving up the Route 1 highway we made a random stop here for a coffee break. What a lucky find, the park has a huge free car park, and a great boardwalk going a fair way out over the Indian River North for some great views and fishing. Whilst on the boardwalk a friendly local sheriff pointed out all the manatees that were a little further up river near the boat launch ramp. Our first sighting in 2 weeks of looking! It was fantastic seeing the Manatees up so close and for a good amount of time hanging around the launch area for ages…only to be spoiled by a returning fisherman seemingly taking delight in deliberately driving his boat straight over the backs of them and scaring them off!See more..

I knew Coral Gables' Tree Succession project was planting over 3,000 trees and palms in residential areas throughout the City, but was not expecting a tree to be growing out of the roof of the pavilion at Phillips Park when I visited the park again. Sarasta County have been very busy redoing this park. They have put in a new dog park which looks beautiful although it's not open yet. The rest of the park has been tidied up and is lighter (used to be dark and dirty) now cleaned up. Nice walks and pathways not too long cannot get lost. Walk there regularly, on a Wednesday some school children with their teachers enjoy the playground then have their lunch. The picnic tables have been removed hopefully they are being cleaned and returned for use (possibly removed so the homeless cannot sleep there). I love to walk in this park as I do Oscar Schere. This park we have been going to for years. We used to drive over from Tampa when we lived there and would stop here. It isnt a big park but its nice and quiet and very well maintained. Work out area is fenced off just to the east of the playground. There is a smaller playground section by the swings for the younger kids and the zip line and spinning chairs for the older ones.
