We heard about this park so we decided to check it out. I was surprised to see so many activities around a cemetery to be honest. It was a beautiful place! The trails were great and the outdoor fitness equipment was a pleasant surprise. I love the artsy and laid-back vibes of this island. A walk thru the cemetery was very interesting to see all the various dates going back to the 1800s. It even had some good fishing spots. I can see where this would be a favorite among locals. When visiting Amelia Island, we always visit Bosque Bello. Walking through the headstones, reading the names/ dates/ history of those buried there provide a look back into history. All of the areas are interesting- the old part and the new. Make sure to stroll the hallowed grounds and step back in time! Make sure to take bug spray in humid months. See more..

This year’s Annual Wreath placement on veteran graves went very smoothly - Saturday the 16th. After the ceremonies over 900 volunteers assisted in placing 10,000 wreaths. Local groups hope to step up the collection of donations so 2018 every grave in South Florida National Cemetery will be able to have its own wreath. See more..

    - What a great, old cemetery

If you like older cemeteries this one is great, and larger than one would expect in such a small town. It's set under a grove of live oak trees so most areas are shady and quite picturesque. Many tombstones are old enough such that the engravings can't be read anymore, but many can be read and there is a wide variety of people who were buried there including many children. It's a great place to take photos, or just for a quiet walk in the shade. There is at least one geocache there too - one that we found accidentally - see if you can find it too! See more..

  6. 5.0 Museum of Geneva History (1 review)
    - First Visit on a Sunday
Sunday: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Historic Sites • Historic Walking Areas • Cemeteries
I am friends with a couple members of the Geneva Historical and Genealogical Society, INC & was able to get a tour of the museum (which is only open for tours on the 2nd & 4th Sunday from 1400 to 1600). It is free but donations are always welcome. Quite small inside but lots to see & read about. I definitely could've stayed longer than the hour I was there b/c I know I didn't see or read everything. Very interesting & quite of few artifacts that I remember from my grandparent's house. Museum items are always rotated so just b/c I've walked through it today doesn't mean that the same items will be there next time. Some items are replaced w/others. The place should really be bigger to allow for all items to be displayed at the same time. Parking is free but limited to what can be accommodated out in front of the building. See more..
