4.5Festival of the Lion King(553 reviews) - Great show, seating so close you feel like you're a part of the show Theatre & Performances
Great live show with lots of action. Dancing, singing, acrobats, it has a little bit of everything. Wheelchair seating is limited, and the lines are long, even with a fast pass. While other live shows at the parks closely follow the plot line of the movie, this one does not. Yes, there is are elements of the Lion King movie, but it is rather limited. Still a great show, not to be missed while at this park. You can see that the performers are really giving it their all, and it shows. I really like the close proximity and size of the performances, it's probably the closest I have ever been seated in a live show.See more..
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great neighborhood theater. Comfortable seating- bleacher style but nice padded seats. We saw Nunsense last night and it was awesome! Very funny, entertaining, interactive show. Free parking is the best perk. A wonderful evening out.See more..
Went to the South Miami-Dade aArts and Cultural Center and I liked it better than the more opulent Arsht Center. It is perfect in size and the sound was terrific. The rendition of Carmen by Bizet was one of the most enjoyable that we have ever attended. We will be looking to attend other operas and plays in this wonderful venueSee more..

The room the concerts are held in is intimate. We have been to a number of concerts over the past year and everyone of them has been fantastic. They have a wide variety of concerts, and some would be a style that I would not normally choose, but even those were enjoyable. The price of the tickets is extremely affordable, especially for the quality of groups they bring in. Highly recommended. See more..

4.0Treasure Island Drum Circle(8 reviews) - A Must, Any Sunday You're At Treasure Island Theatre & Performances
The Treasure Island Drum Circle is a must do! I didn't say "must see" because it is definitely an event you need to experience and participate in. It's held on Sunday afternoons on the beach, behind Sloppy Joe's. It was just South of the big slide the two times I went and best of all, it's absolutely free. We headed over with a cooler, blankets and chairs around 4pm and the drummers were already starting to play, Don't forget to bring a drum, something to bang on or something to shake, and feel free to get up to dance. The drums are played until the sun sets into the Gulf and then, "Boom", it's over.See more..
3.5Common Grounds Meeting Hall(3 reviews) - Quaint, hidden away gem! Concerts • Theatre & Performances Went to a concert here; a little obscure location in North Port. Nothing fancy inside, simple chairs set up facing a stage. Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks in the back. Friendly people - all just there to enjoy some music. It was a bring your own wine/beer sort of thing. Decent acoustics and very intimate seating. Nice to be just feet from the stage. During the day, they have meetings and group space available.See more..
