4.5Beach Walk(1.355 reviews) - Spectacular Sunsets Sunday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 AM Historic Walking Areas • Biking Trails • Hiking Trails
One of our favorite places to be! White powder sand, clean, well maintained and clear water. On this visit we enjoyed 4 nights walking at sunset, each different and beautiful! One night was watching a thunderstorm with lightning lighting up the shoreline ( from our balcony). Clearwater has great sidewalks and a huge selection of restaurants just a few steps away.See more..
4.5Pinellas Trail(159 reviews) - A good and safe riding trail mostly off the main roads Biking Trails
This trail is an urban trail, but mostly off the actual roads, making it safer. Do watch at the road crossings! You could go about 40 miles, apparently, but we did 10. A few map plaques would be helpful, especially showing how far to the next bench for a coffee stop. Trail is well kept and plenty wide. Site markers with locations to guide 911 service were frequent (just in case).See more..
This is a 3 mile walking loop around the golf course. It can get a little busy but not so much that you can't keep going. Be careful of the time of day you go as there are some portions of the trail where there is very little or no shade so it can get a little too hot/sunny. Plenty of benches to take a rest if you need to,See more..
4.5Legacy Trail(87 reviews) - Great way to experience Venice interior. Biking Trails
This bike path is 1st class, smooth, shaded, slick street crossings, bridges over busy multi lane streets. We did a 33 mile ride which included the Venetian canal path and did not reach the end of the Legacy trail. The messes from recent Hurricanes has been moved well off the path. We saw lots of fauna including several Gopher Tortise along the trail.See more..

4.5Nature Coast State Trail(20 reviews) - Well maintained, paved rail trail! Spent More than 3 hours Biking Trails
How sweet it was to take a bike ride from Fanning Springs to Cross City. Had we had more time, we would have kept on riding! The trail was so well maintained; in fact when we were riding, we passed a worker clearing the trail with a blower attached to his golf cart. He was so very respectful. The views were nice, giving a flavor of this part of the country. The bridge was the highlight. Signage was helpful when it came to any roadways we were to cross. Most of this part of the trail was exposed, so if you are sensitive to the sun, beware! Thanks to the Florida State Parks system. You've done well with this State Trail!See more..
We enjoyed a peaceful walk at Mala Compra from the free parking area at Bing’s Landing. The level walking trail turns into an elevated walkway where we viewed turkey cultures with their prey. We chose the route which continues to the beach where we saw shore birds and poked for shells. Mala Compra provides a leisurely activity of about 2+ hours, depending on pace. You can end your walk with a bite to eat at Captain’s BBQ at Bing’s Landing which several locals we met raved about!See more..
5.0Alligator Lake Recreation Area(9 reviews) - Beautiful Park Sunday: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM Biking Trails • Hiking Trails • Kayaking & Canoeing
Having been to a Mexico many times and always wanting to see an alligator in the wild, and never finding success, I inquired at the restaurant where I ate the night before. The server pointed me on the direction of Alligator Lake. There are 7-8 different trails that you can take to see different parts of the lake as per the map in the main parking area. I decided, after having nothing to do on this Friday morning, to take the longest trail, which encircles the entire lake. I saw so many different types of beautiful birds and lovely landscape situations which made for beautiful photographs. Always on the lookout for the ever elusive gator. After walking for about an hour, and knowing I was almost back to my original starting spot, I saw a 4 foot blackish critter sunning himself(or herself....no idea) on the edge of a little swampy stream. I mean it wasn’t a 10 foot man eater that would make a great story, but it was a gator, nonetheless. The park is BEAUTIFUL and I highly recommend it !See more..

4.5Tucker Hill Trailhead(4 reviews) - Anyplace in the Coochee is grand. Sunday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Spent More than 3 hours Biking Trails • Equestrian Trails • Hiking Trails
My buddy and I hiked the Tucker Hill area well before the name was known. There were no trails. You made your own way and discovered whatever you came upon. Staying on the trail means you see the same as all others see with few exceptions. Wildlife pretty much knows to avoid the "highways" in the woods. We recommend that you not "stay between the lines". Our last trek in the area was last November. The first was over 25 years ago. See more..
4.0Half Moon WMA(3 reviews) - Hike with Mike! Spent More than 3 hours Biking Trails • Nature & Wildlife Areas • Hiking Trails
Spent the morning hiking here with YouTube celeb "Hike with Mike" as our tour guide. 9,554 acres along the Withlacoochee River with 24 miles of roads and trails. We did about 10 miles and didn't even get halfway in. Mike took us to a gator hole full of baby gators, crossed the boardwalk over Mills Creek, and through some of the most beautiful forest in Florida. Restrooms and water available at check station. Excellent hike and not another soul in sight all morning. No that's good medicine. Thanks Mike! FREE Highly recommended!See more..

5.0The Bicycle Boutique(2 reviews) - Low Price, Great People, Amazing Location... and free parking Biking Trails The low Price caught my eye but the amazing people and in a great location was the icing on the cake. Great price on new bikes only 200 feet from the Pinellas trial could not be beat. PLUS there is a free parking lot across the street! It was such a great experience we came back the next day and rented again. The wonderful ladies (who are the owners) were a treat to deal with. One of those great vacation finds.See more..

If you want just a place to walk, this preserve is ok, BUT is you are looking to see fauna,,,,, we found this place not the best. The trails, three options/loops are about 90%+ in the open, that is no shade. See more..
4.0Lehigh Rails To Trails(1 review) - Greta place to bike Biking Trails • Nature & Wildlife Areas • Hiking Trails
This is a great place to ride bikes. Most of it is shaded! We didn’t wear any bug spray and wasn’t bothered at all by them! We did the whole stretch, which there and back is about 12 miles. Not much wildlife. We saw a turtle. Great way to get outside and spend the day!See more..
