Mala Compra Mountain Bike Trail, Florida, United States

4.5 (13 reviews) Spent 1-2 hours Ranking #16 in Palm Coast Biking Trails

Peaceful and Leisurely

We enjoyed a peaceful walk at Mala Compra from the free parking area at Bing’s Landing. The level walking trail turns into an elevated walkway where we viewed turkey cultures with their prey. We chose the route which continues to the beach where we saw shore birds and poked for shells. Mala Compra provides a leisurely activity of about 2+ hours, depending on pace. You can end your walk with a bite to eat at Captain’s BBQ at Bing’s Landing which several locals we met raved about!

    Great Intermediate Trail
Mala Compra is a great trail for intermediate skill mountain biking. Ranging from beginner to expert, the trail is easily navigated by making the right choices. Many of the man made hazards have a "novice" route around them so you don't lose any speed, but offer a challenge to those willing to try them. The scenery is great if you're from the Ohio area like me! It's like biking through a jungle- chock full of lizards and spiders! Definitely worth the extra time to explore. There's an additional hiking trail if you forgot your bike!

    World class mountain bike trail.
You can U-tube ‘mala compra bike trail’ and see bikers in action, but be aware that most of the trail is ‘blue’, challenging but safe. The ‘x’ marked side trails, steep and with narrow bridges, are easily avoided. As a 70’s rider, I start across the street from Pubix, ride north for about 40 minutes, ending at A1A with a reward from a great ice cream shop! At that point you can check out the marina across A1A, or head back to Publix. Don’t miss it, but only if you have a mountain bike.
