4.5Fort Lauderdale Beach(9.293 reviews) - Golden Birthday Weekend Spent More than 3 hours Beaches
Fort Lauderdale owes me nothing! Was a little skeptical about the beach being full of seaweed as told by hotel staff. However when we got there it was clean and beautiful! Being from the Virgin Islands, we can be beach snobs! I'm glad the hotel staff was wrong. Was just like home, clean clear to the bottom and warm...once I got in. My only downfall was the prices for the blue beach chairs and umbrellas. $18 per chair and $25 for the umbrella ($61 total) is a BIT excessive for me and all the other folks who brought their own stuff. We were surprised with the cost, as there was no attendant when we arrived and for an hour after we were enjoying ourselves. There were also no signs posted regarding the cost. We still had a great time tho. I'd go back...with my tools tho!.See more..
4.5Siesta Beach(8.574 reviews) - One of the top beaches on the Florida Gulf Coast Beaches • Parks

The kids will love collecting the beautifully shaped shells, too. And don't about the kids—there are lifeguards on duty. While there aren't many beachside food options, you can head to the nearby cafes and oyster bars. 4.5Hollywood Beach(7.021 reviews) - Go Visit George @ Polk St Beaches
Spanning between Dania Beach and Golden Beach, this strip is quieter and often more pocket friendly than the neighboring Miami Beach. Let the locals skate and cycle past as you stroll along the boardwalk promenade in search of that perfect spot to bask in the Florida sun. Vendors will set you up with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and cabanas, but the soft white sand will do just fine for many. Take a dip in the crystal clear waters, then hit one of the waterfront establishments for a meal and live music. The weather is the most pleasant between December and April, while summer is hurricane season. – TripadvisorSee more..

4.5Bahia Honda State Park(4.116 reviews) - Do the snorkeling tour through the park here! Sunday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Beaches
Beautiful park to sit at the beach, take a walk or have a picnic at. There's a per person entrance fee, but not bad. The highlight of this park is the ability to book a snorkeling trip here! Super affordable ($180 for 2 adults and 2 kids including all equipment rental) for a 80 minute round-trip boat ride and 80 minutes out on the reef with 2 guides who stay on the boat to inform you of wildlife they see and of course to make sure everybody was safe. The other tours were so much more expensive so this was great! We went with about 40 other people, but it didn't feel crowded while snorkeling.See more..

4.5Henderson Beach State Park(2.397 reviews) - Beautiful white sand to sink your toes into State Parks • Beaches
Beautiful white sand beaches. The gulf was a lovely blue-green while I was there. In November, it wasn’t too crowded and there are plenty of places to easily access the beach. The sand is a soft, powdery white and easy to walk in. I did forget that walking in the sand will work those muscles you forget about. It was easy to walk the 1 1/2+ miles I walked. Entrance fee varies by how many people are in the car and I saw that camping is available. There are also buildings with restrooms and rinsing showers if you are worried about tracking sand into your vehicle. I saw a couple of access points for those in wheelchairs.See more..

4.5St. Andrews State Park(2.351 reviews) - Nice area, beautiful FL trails! State Parks • Beaches
We took a ride down to St. Andrew’s State Park and views were amazing. We stopped and walked the alligator trail with took about 25 minutes or so. We didn’t see any gators but that was ok because we lived in Louisiana and see them all the time. We really wanted to just see the FL nature trails. It cost $8 per vehicle and they offer a ferry service almost hourly to shell island we did not do this as the day before we visited shell island with an Island Time cruise. They offer kayaking, paddle boarding and all sorts of activities by the jetty’s and there is a pier to walk on for free by the pier store. We opted not to stay at this part of beach because alcohol was prohibited and other things. Very nice area though.See more..
Our first visit to Tigertail Beach. We crossed the lagoon, highly recommend water shoes. Walked down to Sanddollar Spit, found some sand dollars. Saw a couple manatees (mom and baby) being rescued as they got stuck in the mud with the outgoing tide, it was so neat to see. If you are going to cross the lagoon, highly recommend a low tide cross, water was up to my waist at a couple points. Get up early if you want to find sand dollars, sounds like people get up and out early to pick a lot of them up. We saw one lady with a sack full of sand dollars, couldn’t believe it. We found a few, less than a dozen, and we were fine with that. I would like to let people know that when you pay for the all day parking ($8.00 fee), it also includes South Marco Beach and some other beaches in Naples. I wasn’t aware of this, the guy working the gate told us. Please ask Them for clarification. Highly recommend a trip across the lagoon, no gators, lots of jumping fish and birds.See more..

4.5Caspersen Beach(1.840 reviews) - highlight of our holiday! Beaches
We had a fantastic time looking for shark teeth, it was the highlight of our holiday! I'd definitely recommend heading to Shark Frenzy in town before the beach, we hired tools to help us on the beach. We hired a scoop type thing and a floating sifter. There are two carparks at the beach and it got quite busy but we managed to get a spot - there are toilets and a shower but no cafes or anything so take snacks! The beach is very different to others in Florida, its darker sand and quite stony/shelly so I'd definitely recommend water shoes. The waves are really really strong too so its not the best for small children, our 5 year was knocked off her feet a few times! We really enjoyed looking for the shark teeth and managed to find lots - tip, if you take them to Shark Frenzy they will identify and sort for you. We actually went back to the beach as the sun was setting and it was much quieter, and we actually had more success finding teeth!See more..
4.5Las Olas Beach(1.801 reviews) - A bit cold in January, but still beautiful Beaches
We went to this beach in the end of January, and the temperature and the wind were not helping much in getting into the water. But the beach is still beautiful, has a convenient parking lot just across the street (paid), and you can also have snacks, drinks and lunch across the street, just by Las Ols Blvd. There are umbrellas and chairs to rent at the beach, but if you buy an umbrella and a beach towel at Walmart, you get everything for the price that you pay in a single day at the beach, so I recommend that.See more..

4.5Clam Pass Park(1.158 reviews) - Quiet Beach Sunday: 8:00 AM - 7:30 PM Beaches • Parks
We visited the Clam Pass Beach on a recent visit to Naples. We had a good time at the beach. It was clean and fairly private with nice facilities. The water was warm in late March, which made for fun swimming. Note that it is actually not very easy to get to the beach. The parking lot is more than half a mile away from the beach area, and you do have to pay for parking. This would be a long walk, especially carrying supplies, but a shuttle was actually provided at no cost by the Naples Grande Beach Resort, which is in the area. Note that the shuttle has limited capacity, and there can be a significant wait to ride during busy times. There is a fee for renting chairs and umbrellas, which are provided by the resort. We locked out because we arrived late enough in the day that attendants didn't care that we used them without paying. Overall, I would recommend Clam Pass Beach for anyone looking for a fairly private beach experience in the Naples area.See more..

I know there are so many popular beaches in this area, but... this beach is fantastic! I feel as if this beach is busy but not overly crowded. You will have your own space and not feel as if you are sitting on top of one another. This is not a spring break type beach but more families and people enjoying the weather and sand. This is also a great shelling and shark tooth beach. Bring your shell scooper because it definitely helps. If you go, take time to walk down the beach to find shells. Make this a stop on your next trip! See more..
I actually stumbled onto Cresent Beach by accident as I was guided by my iphone map. I walked through a beachfront property not knowing it was for the properties guests only. A guest informed me about it and I thanked her for the information. As I was about to walk away to head to Siesta Beach via the street, she unlocked the gate entrance to the private beach. How lucky was I. Cresent Beach was isolated and beautiful. I walked to Siesta Beach picking up shells then jogged to Sarasota Beach and back to Siesta Beach... to the exit and back to my resort. Absolutely beautiful experience!See more..

4.0Turtle Beach(963 reviews) - Beach is For Swimmers, Not Sun Bathers Beaches
A quieter, less crowded alternative to the busy Siesta Key, Turtle Beach is a favorite amongst locals. The sand here is gritty yet still comfortable underfoot, and the water stays shallow as far out as 50 feet. Do not disturb the turtle nests, and note that the beach has no lifeguards on duty. You can rent kayaks here, and fantastic kayak tours stop by as part of their itinerary. You can reach Turtle Beach by car or take the free trolley from Siesta Key that will drop you right at the entrance. Either way, be sure to stay for a magnificent sunset. – TripadvisorSee more..
4.5Vilano Beach(927 reviews) - Favorite St Augustine Beach Spot Beaches
I always love how quiet this beach is. You can always find your own spot to set up and there is never tons of people in the water. Perfect wave jumping spot and place to find shells. It is hit or miss if the beach is super sandy or covered in shell. The first day we came the whole beach was shell, but the rest of the trip the beach was nice and sandy. If you don’t have a chair and are planning on laying your towel straight on the beach, I highly recommend a beach mat/rug in case you hit a shell covered beach day. Dog friendly!See more..
Really great beach with quality water and quality sand. No pier or restaurants which keeps the tourist/drinking crowd down. The drum circle on was awesome! We vacationed twice this year in Santa Rosa Beach area. We have gone to several Beaches but Grayton beach is our favorite. It cost us $5 for the car group to get in but there is more parking than other beaches. Bathrooms are clean, there is a place to rinse off and it’s sufficient . It’s a bit of a walk to the beach on a boardwalk , but it’s an easy walk. We saw a sea turtle swimming ! We did notice in October one day there was lots of jellyfish . Little white floaty things , bigger pink ones also . The sand is powdery and white. We like that as we set on the beach it’s just dunes behind us , not houses or hotels/condos … just nature .See more..
I love this beach. First off, it’s big and wide, with the sand compressed making it easy to walk. And can you walk - from Flagler Avenue, left to the jetty is maybe 2 miles, while to the right goes for more than five miles - that’s where I turned around and walked back. Cars can drive and park on the beach for $20. Here you can people watch, see surfers, talk to fishermen, ride bikes, or walk until you’re bone tired. Like I said, just the perfect beach.See more..
