Fun city and great beach

This beach, located on Santa Rosa Island, is a popular spot for anyone seeking fun in the sun. With its soft sands and clear waters, the beach is perfect for swimming, paddle boarding, or learning to surf. You can also go fishing by the pier, stroll along the Portofino Boardwalk's shops, or embark on the ‘Footprints in the Sand’ eco trail. Join a dolphin-watching tour or, if you're feeling adventurous, take a powerboat tour or paddle a glowing kayak. The best time to visit is in the spring or fall when the weather is mild and the crowds are thinner. – Tripadvisor

Stayed a month, loved every minute
Pensacola Beach did not disappoint- the water and sand are beautiful, love seeing everybody having a great time, the restaurants are struggling a little with lack of staff but handling it very well. Definitely a very special beach with miles of white sand, plenty of beach for everyone and parking never an issue. We live in South Florida and it’s always such a struggle to find parking at the beach that half the time we end up going back home. Love Pensacola Beach!!!

All the excitement of South Beach without the drive.
Pensacola beach is the crown jewel of the North West Florida Gulf Coast. It has beautiful white sand beach, easy access points and five star restaurants and hotels. The scenery is breath taking and exciting. There is nightly entertainments at the various night spots and a vibe and energy that electrifies the air. Trolly cars will take you to and from hotels, restaurants and bars so no need to be concerned about parking or maybe imbibing a little too much. With all the great tropical drinks who could blame you. Spring break at Pensacola Beach is generally a family affair as the college party scene is usually farther west at the beaches of Destin or Panama City. Memorial Day weekend has more of an adult theme as Pensacola celebrates the diversity of the human spirit and the warm, welcoming water of the Gulf Coast are celebrated as a world Wide destination for those of the gay, lesbian and transgender communities. It is also the only weekend that allows camping on the beach. In addition to the numerous night spots, Pensacola beach is famous for it's music festivals as well as the spectacular Blue Angels air show that attracts thousands of visitors as well as locals every year. With everything to see and do, hotels and rentals should be reserved early so there is no disappointment. Accommodations for Blue Angel weekend can book up to a year in advance. If you are planning a trip during hurricane season you need to inquire as to cancellation policies as you may not be able to recoup your hotel booking fees without purchasing travel insurance. There are strict guidelines governing this. Remember Pensacola Beach is on Santa Rosa Island and is connected to the mainland by a bridge at either end. These bridges are closed to all traffic both on and off for your safety when winds reach a sustained 40 mph. In other words if you fail to heed the warnings you will be on your own no matter what the situation until conditions improve. So use good judgement. The winter season brings us northerners escaping the cold temps and snow. The life is of a slower pace than in the summer months and Santa Rosa Island has miles of biking and hiking trails for all you snow birds to enjoy. Some winter residents come back year after year to reconnect with friends made during seasons past. So whenever you decide to visit our beautiful sugar sand beach and emerald green waters, Pensacola welcomes you. As a local since 1979 I can assure you of a memorable experience.
