Sebastian Inlet State Park, Florida, United States

4.5 (825 reviews) Spent Ranking #3 in Brevard County State Parks • Beaches

Wonderful way to spend a day!

My wife and I went there last weekend not really expecting much but were happy to say we had a fantastic experience! There is the north side and south side, your $8 admission fee gets you into both sides (save the receipt). Besides the "wading" area which is pretty nice, there is also a restaurant, bathrooms and the beach with long jetty going out. Lots of walking to be done, lots of photo opportunities and fabulous sunset. We will be back again!

Good place to visit for people looking for surfing, beaches or fishing
This is located south on A1A on both sides of, you guessed it, Sebastian Inlet. The cost for a one day pass to the park is $8/car. The north side of the park has access to 2 very different beaches: one is calm and the other has surfing waves. There were about 20 surfers on the day we visited and the waves were 2-4 feet. There are 2 piers. One extends under the bridge and one is one side of the ocean side to the inlet. If you are a fisherman, this seems a good place to be. We saw a lot of fishing going on both of the piers on the north side of the cut. There were at least 4 places to access the ocean beach and 2 buildings with restrooms. There is a 2 story building that has a store and food. The easiest method to get from the north to the south side of the park is to drive there. You have to show your pass to the ranger on the other side. This side has a museum, more small fishing piers and camper parking. The museum is only open until 4 pm so we did not get to visit. Overall it is a very nice park. The staff were friendly. The entrance fee is reasonable and there is a lot you can do at the park. Enjoy.

    Lovely at the Lagoon
Just love this little lagoon off the Sebastian Inlet. It's shallow and perfect for toddlers to play and swim. The boats coming in and out of the inlet are fun to watch as well as the wildlife. We've seen: manatees, dolphin, fish (of course), pelicans, etc. Bring your own umbrellas. Some picnic tables are scattered throughout. On the lagoon side, there are ports potty facilities but on the restaurant side, you will find showers and bath house/restroom facilities. Better to go on a slightly breezy day as there are mosquitoes and noseeums. Plan to spend some time taking in the view. The kids never want to leave. Get there early enough to park and claim a picnic table if that's what you want. Highly recommend, as there are only a few gentle waves (from the boats) and no rip currents to watch out for. This is a great place to take toddlers...with floaties or life jackets, of course. $8 for a car but the pricing also varies. You can get a yearly pass, too. The grill is okay, it's a grill. The walk out on the jetty is awesome. This is one place I would highly suggest visiting.
