A bit cold in January, but still beautiful

We went to this beach in the end of January, and the temperature and the wind were not helping much in getting into the water. But the beach is still beautiful, has a convenient parking lot just across the street (paid), and you can also have snacks, drinks and lunch across the street, just by Las Ols Blvd. There are umbrellas and chairs to rent at the beach, but if you buy an umbrella and a beach towel at Walmart, you get everything for the price that you pay in a single day at the beach, so I recommend that.

    Las Olas Beach!
Went with my daughter for some fun in the sun last December. The weather was a little too windy for my taste but the beach was perfect: lots of people enjoying the rays of sunshine while relaxing next to the beautiful waters of Fort Lauderdale. Parking was available and easy to use.

    Center of the action
Las Olas beach occupies the central part of a very long Ft. Lauderdale beach. I could compare it with the Miami's South beach on a smaller scale. However, being in the very center it's also little bit crowded, so those wanting peace and quiet surroundings should head north or south of it. On the other side it offers many cafes and restaurants to hang out or have a drink/meal and people watch.
