Favorite St Augustine Beach Spot
I always love how quiet this beach is. You can always find your own spot to set up and there is never tons of people in the water. Perfect wave jumping spot and place to find shells. It is hit or miss if the beach is super sandy or covered in shell. The first day we came the whole beach was shell, but the rest of the trip the beach was nice and sandy. If you don’t have a chair and are planning on laying your towel straight on the beach, I highly recommend a beach mat/rug in case you hit a shell covered beach day. Dog friendly!

Ocean and sand for miles
Face it. Who doesn't love the open air, oceans for miles and gorgeous beach areas. Vilano Beach was probably one of the cleanest and most well kept beaches I have visited in a long time. Not overly crowded at all and crowds range from young to old. Beautiful.

Narrow but dog friendly beach
Beach was narrow and lots of shells, but dogs are allowed year round (leashed) so that was big plus for us. Shower station was available. We managed to find parking outside for free and did not have to spend $10 to drive on the beach to park there.
