This bridge, which you'll cross on the drive from St. Petersburg to Bradenton, is one of the longest cable-stayed concrete bridges in the world offering breathtaking panoramic views of Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Park at the lots at either end of the bridge to capture postcard-worthy photos. The piers are a popular fishing spot—you can rent fishing gear and join in the fun. Stay for sunset and watch as the scene changes when the bridge lights up at night. Sunshine Skyway Bridge is occasionally closed off during inclement weather, so check ahead before you begin your journey. – Tripadvisor See more..
  2. 4.5 Seven Mile Bridge (2.734 reviews)
    - Nice job on the renovation

They did a nice job on the re-build portion to Pigeon Key, exactly 2.0 miles from the mainland, markers every 10th a mile. Old bridge was a bit bumpy to ride a bike, new surface very smooth. New handrailing nice and protective. If your a walker or bike rider, a must, two miles out on the water, we saw osprey, rays, the tarpon fishermen fighting a fish. Bike lane and walking lane marked both directions to keep it safe and peaceful. About (20) parking spots. Nice ramped access at the beginning of the bridge to the water level. See more..

    - Are you a Runner? This is Perfect!

Parking. A route as long or short as you want. Water views the entire distance. And... Bathrooms. Perfect for a runner, walker, families, solo. Only downside is some bicycles are on the walking path. There is a designated bicycle path so I don’t think they are following the rules. A bonus - saw manatees! Also lots of great beaches and Sea World, Vizcaya are close. See more..

We did the beach sunset pictures but were looking for something a little bit more unique and found it at the fishing pier. We took our shots on the adjacent bridge which had a protected walkway in addition to being a traffic bridge (see middle picture). There is a path from one bridge to the next so you can easily change locations within a minute. If you prefer people photography starting in the early morning the pier is filled with people fishing,Colorful chairs and umbrellas. See more..
  5. 4.5 Venetian Causeway Bridge (16 reviews)
    - A scenic ride
Spent 1-2 hours Historic Sites • Bridges
    Venetian Causeway Bridge image
One of my favorite rides in Miami. Rather than take the MacArthur Causeway to South Beach, I prefer to get off at Biscayne Blvd and take the picturesque Venetian Causeway. Driving at sea level, the ocean lapping the road on both sides, breathtaking views, interspersed islands, all make for a stress busting drive. the water views are great at all times of the day.
