4.5Shell Island(2.189 reviews) - "Your Own Private Beach" Sunday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Islands
Ride the shuttle from Panama City Beach to Shell Island, where you can stroll along miles of white and soft sand as you spot dolphins frolicking and pelicans fishing from afar. Alternatively, make the most of your trip to the island by renting a pontoon boat to tour the area at your own pace. Swim in teal-blue waters, and don’t miss the peaceful Saint Andrew Bay on the other side of the island. Pack food, water, sunscreen, and other necessary supplies, as there are no amenities available. Also, pack a beach umbrella, as there is nothing to shade you from the Florida sun. – TripadvisorSee more..
4.5Okaloosa Island(1.576 reviews) - White Powder sand and Emerald green water Islands • Beaches
Crowds flock to the beautiful beaches on this narrow strip along Florida’s Emerald Coast for the world-class clear waters and white sugar sand. The western end of the Okaloosa has family-friendly beach parks with picnic areas and playgrounds, a boardwalk with restaurants and shops, and attractions like the Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park. The beaches on the eastern tip tend to be more secluded and less crowded, offering a peaceful escape. Visit in April and May for warm waters and comfortable weather or during fall when fewer crowds make for a quieter experience. Book accommodation well in advance if you plan to visit in the summer. – TripadvisorSee more..

4.5Peanut Island Park(601 reviews) - Beautiful beach. Islands • Nature & Wildlife Areas • Parks
This 80-acre tropical park is a favorite among boaters and those looking for a range of recreational activities. You can kayak, fish and snorkel in the clear waters of the surrounding Lake Worth Lagoon or simply enjoy a lazy beach day and picnic on one of the island’s guarded and unguarded swimming spots. If you’re looking to stay overnight, the park has 17 campsites, but make your reservation well in advance as they’re very popular. While admission is free, you’ll have to pay for the water taxi from Palm Beach to reach the island. – TripadvisorSee more..

Took a boat ride from Tarpon Springs to this little island. It can only be accessed by boat. Wish the commercial boat company allowed for more time on the island. Would be great if you have your own boat. Very pretty at sunset and saw sponges on the island. See more..
4.5Useppa Island(107 reviews) - Useppa Island Cruise Islands
We took a cruise to Useppa Island from Captiva Cruises. The boat ride was awesome. We stopped at Cabbage Key first to let half of the people off. While we were there we saw two otters looking for food on the boats that were near the dock. It was very cool. Got to Useppa and took a walk on the pink path to the Collier Inn. The island is awesome. Had an awesome lunch at the Collier Inn. I had the Captiva Chicken Melt: Grilled chicken breast, guacamole and bacon topped with smoked gouda and served on a pretzel roll. Which was unbelievable. My Wife had the Chicken Salad Croissant: Slow cooked chicken breast with red seedless grapes, celery, cashews breast with leaf lettuce on a flaky. The food was great. After we ate we walked around the island and took in the sights. Along the way we saw 2 gopher tortoises. I would highly recommend going to Useppa. All the people who went to Cabbage Key were disappointed.See more..
4.5Dutton Island Preserve(53 reviews) - Great Place for Kayaking Islands • Nature & Wildlife Areas • Parks
This park is a little known gem. It has a few trails and picnic spots and there is a huge board walk that stretches over the marsh and there are a number of places to fish. It even has a public restroom and plenty of parking. But what I found most interesting on the water. We had a great experience here kayaking with the Northeast Florida Sierra Club. There is a good area to put your kayak into the water and the kayak trail is pretty well marked. It is subject to the flow of the tides, so its important to check the tide tables before you go. We saw a lot of wildlife and there was an area where you could pull your kayak out of the water and take a break.See more..
If you plan your day based on the tides, you will not be disappointed. We took a pontoon boat out, anchored and spent hours as the tide came in, and the island went under! Take time for walking the area. The whole visit was super. Enjoy! See more..
4.0Bird Island(44 reviews) - Where else can you see monkeys on an island in a river? Islands
that is not bird island that is monkey island 3 monkeys live there all year round you can't feed them or touch them just look at them from the monkey bar - which is better than crump's by far! 5 dollar pizza every wed and lots of cold beer So qiut calling it Bird Island and change your blog to read Monkey Island. Of course the monkeys are gone off the island while it is being restored with a new air conditioned house and new barriers around the island. People should never feed the monkeys. They have a diet provided for them by the Florida Cracker people. If a monkey is healthy, their tail is held high and these are evry healthy monkeys. Right now they are getting their shots and teeth cleaned. The trio will return as soon they can because they are a bog money maker for the Monkey Bar! \See more..

3.0Little Tigertail Island(1 review) - Just another private island, famous for what happened in the civil war Islands This is a private island so we only passed by on a tour boat. We had been reeding stories about Homosassa and tiger tail island so we asked our air boat captain, Brian, to point it out. There are interesting stories and interesting history, so we were glad to see it from the air boat. Since this is a private island, I am not sure why Trip advisor wanted a review! See more..
