The 1920's era Arabic style buildings, of which only a few are left are interesting. It's a very questionable area. Suggest going in the morning and not lingering. Hopefully this area will be restored. See more..
  2. 4.5 Town of Lantana (2 reviews)
    - Lantana is a great place to stay for a Florida vacation
    Historic Sites • Government Buildings
We enjoyed a moderately priced motel, the Barefoot Mailman, and a wide variety of dining places: The Diner, Victoria's, Ravish, Palm Beach Bakery & Cafe, The Old Key LIme, and Kona Bay.. The Lantana Nature Preserve offers a glimpse of mangrove habitat for a change of pace. It's a reasonable drive to a variety of attractions along Highway 1 or via I-95. See more..
  3. 5.0 Florida Bass Conservation Center (1 review)
    - Good Learning Experience
    Sunday: Government Buildings
12/29/21 - The web site still had this facility closed due to COVID. We were close and decided to stop to see if it really was closed. We arrived about 12:15 pm and a pickup truck pulled up and asked us if we wanted to look around and we said yes. There is no charge to visit this facility. Eric was on his way home for the day but took the time to show us around. Trophy fish and information about the sport of Bass fishing is displayed upstairs. There is also an aquarium. This hatchery serves the entire state. The receptionist that is normally in the building had gone out so Eric took us upstairs to show us the displays and then took us out to the tanks to see the fish. There were various different sizes of the fish and different species as well. Who knew that genetically the bass on the east coast of Florida are different from those of the on the West coast. Who knew that they put a fish that loves to eat mosquito larva in the wet ditches along the road as a means of mosquito management. They hand feed the small fish with pellets that the University of Florida developed in association with the center. The fish have to be taught to eat the pellets which is not normal for them. Learned a great deal from the visit. There are I believe two ponds on site that you can actually even fish in. Great opportunity to spend sometime looking at and learning about the conservation effort. See more..

    - Football Game
Spent 1-2 hours Arenas & Stadiums • Civic Centres • Government Buildings
One of the 2 football fields in Port St. Lucie. Used by the high schools for local football games. NO shade if it is a sunny day! If it is sunny you will need something to shade yourself and your eyes. Parking at this site is NOT good! See more..
