Fun way to kill an afternoon

Stretching over 800 feet over the Atlantic Ocean, Cocoa Beach Pier has long been a cultural and entertainment epicenter on Florida’s Space Coast. The pier is great for fishing and surfing, and is also dotted with gift shops. You can rent umbrellas and lounge chairs to spend a relaxing day by the beach or sit at the tiki bar to munch on some fish and fries as you enjoy the cool sea breeze and see flocks of pelicans fly by. You're also able to view the rocket launch at the nearby Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, so check for timings and plan ahead. – Tripadvisor

    Great service!!
Great food! Happy hour deals are unbeatable and to top it all off our waitress Alicia K was the most amazing waitstaff person we’ve ever had. Very attentive, friendly, knowledgeable. We insisted on her letting her manager know how amazing she was and within 1 minute he was at our table expressing his appreciation for our business and the well regards. We highly recommend the cocoa beach pier to anyone visiting the area. Ask for Alicia K you won’t regret it.

The pier is a nice place to visit, but not worth $30 to park there.
Luckily, we were able to take a free shuttle from the Westgate Cocoa Beach Timeshare property - so we were spared the $30 parking fee charged until 4pm. I would not pay that fee just to visit the pier. We arrived just before a space launch and the pier was filled to capacity. We watched the launch from the beach and then entered the pier after the launch as most of the crowd was leaving. The description is a little misleading as there is no longer fishing allowed from the pier. The pier itself does not offer much. There is a gift shop. a mid-pier restaurant and bar that offers bar food and the open-air Rikki Tiki Tavern at the end that also offers bar food. The pier lacks a restaurant that offers entrees. What a waste as the views are great and the restaurant would be a great dining venue if the only offered entrees. We enjoyed a order of wings at the Rikki Tiki Tavern in the sea breeze as we watched the surfers catch their waves below. The wings were very good and priced fair at $20 for a dozen meaty wings. The service was also good.
