Stepping back in time!
We stopped in Gulfport and visited the fishing pier. It’s truly special. You can walk, fish or just sit on the pier. Down below locals keep their small motor boats. Nice day out.

Sunset Viewing
Lengthy and wide pier that T's off at the end to allow room for fishing people, strollers, and sunset viewers. We saw the shadowy form of a ray glide by us underwater. The sunset show begins for me after the sun sinks below the horizon. The sky broke into neon-backlit, crazy quilt patches. A wing-like scarf of charcoal cloud fanned out as graceful as an egret's wing north to south. The colors were an impossible mix of pink and salmon and tangerine and purple. The sun's last rays shot high into the quieting sky as a last hurrah. I took them as a promise of morning.
