Not like it used to be
Lived in FL most of my life and now the board walk is not the same. Such few places compared to when I was a kid, a few ‘dive’ restaurants where you eat outside, rides, and games. They have one ride called the sling shot where two people ride and are slung into the air for like $25 a piece. There is another scary ride there too. There are plenty of hotels too like the Hilton. By the hotels there is a small plaza with a few shops and restaurants. It was $1.50 for an hour parking. Interesting people watching. If you are in the area it is worth coming down to stroll, see the old bandshell, perhaps play volleyball, and grab a snack or two.

1st time @ Daytona Beach
I was impressed that a beach would allow you to drive on it and park for $20.00. The beach wasn't bad but it wasn't appealing. You park, eat off a dirty yellow food truck, and get sand all in your ride. I saw no foot wash, or bathrooms. Trashcans are far and few. I won't be returning.
