    Chihuly Garden and Glass image
This must-see museum exhibits creative and colorful blown glass sculptures of renowned artist Dale Chihuly. Eight indoor galleries and lush landscaped gardens feature a mix of new and past significant works. They are awe-inspiring whether you visit during the day, or in the evening when the sculptures are lit up. The highlight here is a 100-foot-long glass sculpture suspended in a glass conservatory—one of his largest ever. Located at the base of the iconic Space Needle, you might want to buy a combined ticket for cost savings or get a Seattle City Pass. – Tripadvisor See more..
  2. 5.0 Puget Sound Express (2.616 reviews)
    - Second Time Even Better!
Monday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Boat Tours • Dolphin & Whale Watching
    Puget Sound Express image
Our skipper did a fantastic job of sighting whales in the area for us and bringing our boat safely nearby so we could watch as two pods of orca moved up the coastline. He effortlessly kept the boat parallel to them so we could all see. It was spectacular. On the way back, he even stopped to point out some puffins and a horned puffin. I can't believe he eve saw them! Blueberry buckle was worth the money and a hot cup of cider in a Puget Sound Express mug was a perfect way to ride home. We have taken this trip twice now and I'm sure we'll do a third. See more..
  3. 5.0 Hurricane Ridge (1.851 reviews)

Get a free map from the rangers at the National Park Visitor Center in Port Angeles, before making the scenic 18-mile drive up Hurricane Ridge Road. Here, you can spot Mount Olympus from the viewing patio next to the carpark, and embark on multiple trails like the Hurricane Hill Trail which has amazing views of the ridge. You can join a guided tour of Olympic National Park to make sure you don't miss any of the best sights. – Tripadvisor See more..

  5. 5.0 Puget Sound Express (1.673 reviews)
    - Wonderful day of well informed whale watching
Monday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Dolphin & Whale Watching
    Puget Sound Express image
My husband and I booked this tour at last minute and were so glad that we did. Captain Brian was just oozing with charisma and made sure our day was very entertaining and the naturalists on board, Tony and Bart were wonderful in sharing their extensive knowledge of the local whales, their behaviours, their histories and their personalities with us as well as the other wildlife we were able to see on the day. Talking about wildlife, we were lucky enough to see nine Orca whales very shortly into our trip giving us time to find a Grey whale as well as spotting a wild bald eagle and some sea lions who very narrowly escaped being an Orca snack. We initially were hesitant in booking the tour as we are on a limited travel budget but not only was the tour very competitively priced, it was also worth absolutely every penny and we gained so many precious memories that we hope will last a lifetime. 6. 5.0 Manito Park (1.480 reviews)
    - Fun and Free
    Parks • Gardens
    Manito Park image
We have been to many different botanical gardens. Manito Park is not as elaborate or impressive as some of the other places we have visited, but it is free and is a great place to relax and enjoy nature. Probably the most interesting places in the park are the conservatory, Rose Hill, and the Duncan Gardens. You may get a different experience at different times of the year. I have seen pictures of the Duncan Gardens with very vibrant colors. At the time of our visit the plants were a bit more muted, but it was still a pretty area to see. The conservatory had a decent collection of tropical and succulent plants. The park can get crowded and parking can be limited, but we were able to find a place to park without issue even in the middle of the day. On the whole, I highly recommend visiting Manito Park. Is a great place to experience the outdoors and nature with plenty of flowers to see. See more..

  8. 5.0 Skamania Lodge Zip Line Tour (1.106 reviews)
    - Kid Free Weekend Activity
Monday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks
Skamania Lodge Zip Line Tour image
I ended up taking a solitary vacation in Stevenson, WA this past weekend & was trying to figure out what to do. Somebody brought up the Zip Line Tour at Skamania Lodge. Luckily they had a spot open the next day. The group I was with with a fun group consisting of 4 female adult friends with one of the friend's daughter, a couple and myself for a total of 8 people. I am sorry to say I forgot the name of the guides but they were very friendly and were able to clearly instruct people to be safe & have a great time. The banter in between lines was friendly and mostly humorous which helped add to the experience. My only complaint would be that it didn't last longer but I think I could zip from tree to tree all day if possibly. I highly recommend this activity to anybody who needs a bit of adventure. 9. 5.0 Zoller's Outdoor Odysseys (847 reviews)
    - Amazing Middle Gorge Trip
    River Rafting & Tubing
    Zoller's Outdoor Odysseys image
We had such a great experience with Zoller's. We did the Middle Gorge as a family of 5 with kids ages 7, 8 and 11, plus two additional adults. None of us were experienced rafters and all were a bit nervous to start. Our guide was Ben and he took great care of us. He was very clear in his directions, and we felt very safe the entire time. Our 7-year-old is on the petite side, so our biggest concern was her not falling out. He encouraged our son to try things he was hesitant to try. During the slower part of the trip, he told some great stories and gave great information. Husum Falls is an option for the trip we took (for the adults). Ben gave us honest information about how the falls had been running this time of year which allowed us to make an informed decision about whether or not to go over the falls. We opted not to, though those of our party who live locally plan to go back when water levels are lower. Awesome trip and would recommend Zoller's to anyone! See more..

! enjoyed very much the Camano Island (Canopy Tours NW) zip line today with two good friends, and it was an incredible experience! The zipline is located on an historic farm that dates from the early 1900’s with very beautiful forested land. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, and we had a very enjoyable experience on 6 different zip lines. I recommend this tour very highly and I will definitely be returning for another exhilarating experience like I had today! See more..
  14. 5.0 Bloedel Reserve (569 reviews)
    - A tribute to nature and history
Monday: Nature & Wildlife Areas • Gardens
    Bloedel Reserve image
Bloedel Reserve is a place I’ve known of for several years but never visited until this month. The privately owned reserve celebrates nature in a grand way with its expansive woodlands, gardens, and lakes. The manor house is open to visitors and has helpful docents. I visited Bainbridge Island during a hot spell, which made walking the property’s trails a challenge. Even the famous swans seemed to be hiding in the shade. I look forward to a return visit during cooler weather See more..
  15. 5.0 Mount Rainier National Park (563 reviews)
    - Just Awesome.
Bodies of Water • Mountains • National Parks • Forests
    Mount Rainier National Park image
Anywhere I went I was NOT disappointed here. We stopped in Paradise but drove and hiked some of the smaller trails all around. I vastly underestimated the power and impact of standing at the base of Mt. Rainier and felt the pull to explore the heights as I stood there. Am too old to engage on the more advanced hike and as this was the first time visiting, was unprepared for my comfort with some of the lesser paths on the mountain itself although we did hike other easier areas. Narada Falls is a must, well worth the trek to observation area and be prepared to get soaked from this mists. I loved it!!!!. Mt. Rainier constantly teased us with possibly seeing the top. Clouds would thin and almost clear then suddenly thicken up. This is an Elder Mountain and as such has retained all the power and majesty throughout time. See more..

  18. 5.0 Wet Planet Whitewater (434 reviews)
    - Loved it!
    Monday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing • Kayaking & Canoeing
    Wet Planet Whitewater image
I loved this experience! It felt like a great combination of adventure, adrenaline, pushing myself to do things I was nervous about, but also professionally run, which gave me confidence about the safety. My guide was Durham, who was awesome. Very friendly and kept things light. I fell off the raft at one point which I think would have freaked me out but he responded by joking about it (while also pulling me in), which I actually think was the perfect response as it made me laugh and not panic. All the guides I interacted with seemed great. Did the half day trip. I'm glad I didn't do the full day as my toes started getting cold (even though it was 100 degrees)! So anyone prone to cold I would definitely recommend some type of appropriate sock (in addition to what the booties they give you). Would definitely do it again! See more..

  20. 5.0 Snake Dancer Excursions (420 reviews)
    - Perfect Adventure - Snake River Jet Boat Trip
Monday: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM Fishing Charters & Tours • Sightseeing Tours • Private Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
    Snake Dancer Excursions image
The Jet Boat tour on the Snake River is a "must do" experience. It is the best way to see the river, wild animals, and petroglyphs, and much more, and to truly experience this area of Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. You may think the price is a little high, but you get lot for this price. 8 hours of the boat ride as well as lunch, water and lemonade, and great narration by an experienced tour guide. I have done rafting trips before, but this jet boat is so much more comfortable, and you cover a lot more territory in the jet boat than you can with a floating trip (and you do not need to row). I really felt like I got my money's worth. The only way to see the 3 state corner (Idaho, Washington, and Oregon) is on this river. If you come to Lewiston, and miss this trip, you will have missed the best adventure in this entire area. Don't miss it! See more..

    Orcas Island Pottery image
We were looking for a gift for a friend for a very special birthday. While traveling on Orcas, we decided to stop here. Getting there is part of the adventure, as you have to drive down a remote drive through the woods. The location is stunning. There is a gorgeous garden, a treehouse, and swings. Pottery is displayed in locations all around the property. The pottery is absolutely gorgeous, and we had a hard time choosing a gift because we liked everything. Know that this place is a bit pricey, but you are paying for quality. The staff were lovely. This place is well worth the stop. See more..

My 22-year-old son has Autism and about 6 months ago, told us that he wanted to go skydiving at SkyDive Chelan. We were of course, apprehensive but feel that despite his autism, he's an adult and we felt safe with this opportunity for him. We finally booked this adventure with SkyDive Chelan for my son and my husband. We called SkyDive Chelan and they were super responsive to us and they were very patient with my son. The instructor, Steve, was awesome with my son. When my son got up in the plane and my husband was also on the plane, of course, my son had second thoughts when it was time to exit the plane. However, my husband said your going and out he went. He had an awesome time and now he wants to go next year! With the COVID, many of my son's adventures this summer were cancelled but we were able to still go to SkyDive Chelan and felt safe there. I highly recommend SkyDive Chelan and their willingness to work with people with disabilities and afford this opportunity to my son. See more..

All-around great experience! Two of our party had never been white-water rafting before so were very nervous at the start. We had people of all ages and even one gentleman who didn't know how to swim, and the guides handled all of this professionally, putting everyone at ease. Brode gave us a thorough safety briefing and Mario made sure we had all our equipment fitted properly. It was adrenalizing without being terrifying, which is what you want as an amateur at any activity. There were a couple of much needed breaks to allow us to stretch our legs and have a little rest and enjoy the river. The photos were excellent and we purchased the whole package. It is clear this organization knows how to deliver with a high level of professionalism while at the same time making it fun and entertaining. Book your trip now! See more..

The viewpoint is several hundred feet above the lake and there are great views of the emerald water below. (The color is created by the glacial silt in the water.) There are interpretive signs along the walkway that describe the geology and history of the area. There are restrooms at the far end of the parking lot. A must-see stop if you are touring the highway through the North Cascades. See more..

    - River Drifters- DO IT!
    River Rafting & Tubing
    River Drifters image
Peter Ely was the best raft guide that anyone in my group has ever had, and we are all seasoned rafters. He was absolutely hilarious, had excellent communication and people skills, "boatloads" of confidence, and was very clearly an experienced and competent guide. We had the best time, we will be back, and we will be requesting Peter again. Thank you Peter for so many stories, laughs, and a wonderful whitewater adventure. Also- Husum Falls was SUCH a breathtaking experience! DO IT! You won't regret it. 10/10 would recommend River Drifters- the extra 2 miles at the beginning were simply gorgeous and full of thrills.
