I scheduled a solo trip with my dog to scatter my mother’s ashes over the Puget Sound as she requested. I was coming from out of town. We were delayed one day due to weather conditions. Shane and Michelle were very amiable and kept open communication the whole time, thoroughly explaining the safety concerns and updating me. We finally had an opening the next morning. We brought some friends and family to the bothell location for some fun to celebrate a birthday. The front desk staff was over the top nice and accommodating. This was. A great beginner/ introductory experience for me and my friend. Our guides Ally and Joel, made our entire experience as they were high energy, kind, and relatable. Joel was super informative and gave us a better understanding about WA and what the state has to offer. Ally made sure that us and Joel were safe just in case anything were to happen. Overall, if you are looking to try rafting the Wenatchee route is perfect for beginners and you will have some of the best water rafting guides out there!See more..

This was a challenging hike in terms of out and back distance, traversing rocks across the trail, and avoiding mosquitos - but it was so worth it! The views were incredible and we were lucky to get to observe a few marmots and a couple of goats at the pass. It’s a special place.See more..

Kudos to YSS's "Miss Saltwater Therapy" which flew 'thee black' for Saturday and Sunday diving, September 11 & 12, 2021. Great to have YSS Dive join in with our '2021 Talk Like A Pirate' Adventures. The 'pirates' of The Yakima Dive Club enjoyed diving Elephant Wall, Jordstad Creek, Pinacle and Flagpole. Hoist a couple for Captain John and Captain Steve. YSS's dive boat is great dive boat for four divers. Captain John and mate know the needs of cold water divers and assist prep for exiting and re-entry to the boat. Highly recommend Flagpole as a dive site as numerous wolf eels, cloud sponges and GPO's.See more..
4.5s d(2 reviews) - Drive on the beach! Day Trips You can drive on this some 26 mile beach, it is spectacular! So far we have found 6 roads to access the beach. Entry points are 2-5 miles apart. Remember to stay within 150 feet of the high tide mark so you dont drive on the clam beds! Fish and Game or the Sheriff, whom patrol the beach, may give you a ticket. 15 years ago this is where I brought my wife to practice her driving. She later passed her test just fine.See more..

Captain Chris, knows the area really well and timed the trip to arrive at Turtle Cove at Buck Island when the big boats from the cruise ships were leaving and before the second wave arrived, giving more privacy with our small group of four. We saw turtles, sting rays, a shark, and lots of fish. Drinks whether water or rum punch are included and a snack after snorkeling. He only takes up to six people out so it’s a small group, unlike the big boats that have 20 or more on them. I would definitely recommend going out with him rather than the cruise lines shore excursion for a more personal experience.See more..

I have lived in Ocean Shores, WA for almost 3 years now, and I asked my friend if we could go see Lake Aberdeen. She was up for it so we drove to it and were shocked to see a couple of things: 1) it is very rural looking, to the point we weren't sure it was there 2) it's connected to a fish hatchery (yum...we love trout) 3) it is man-made (which we did not know ahead of time). It had no indoor plumbing (the outhouse was disgusting), perhaps better taken care of during the summer season. There were Canadian geese swimming and several docks. I would recommend people check it out. We will go back with fishing poles next time.See more..

The wilderness community of Stehekin is part of the North Cascades National Park, only reached by a long hike or boat. The speedy catamaran boat ride on Lake Chelan from Chelan to Stehekin is in itself a pleasant experience. So glad I signed up for this tour, as it included the boat ride, lunch, and a knowledgeable and local tour guide who shared history of the area as well as left me feeling that I would enjoy being part of this small remote community. And the best part is the natural beauty of the area that includes Rainbow Falls, the dazzling colors of the Stehekin River, huge cedar and pine trees, and boulder strewn hillsides. On this tour you can hike a little or a lot, and they are flexible to honor requests of their customers. This is a new tour this summer, and I hope more people will discover this as a great opportunity, especially those who have only one day to explore this gorgeous and unique area. My family and I spent a fantastic afternoon with Matt as our guide while we explored the Skykomish river on one of the scenic floats that they offer. This section of the river has beauty at every turn and rewards you with views that we all normally speed right by. Do yourself a favor, slow down and spend some time with this crew on the river, they know it better than most everyone else. Matt was patient and friendly with my kids, asking them to "help" paddle along the way. This is a great (and safe) way to introduce children to that river stoke.See more..
