Mission Ridge Ski and Board Resort image
Mission Ridge is in the heart of Washington State where the jagged peaks of the Cascade Range meet the high rugged desert of eastern Washington. A volcanic past has created a ridge where snowcapped peaks shimmer on one side and the Columbia River rolls majestically through eastern Washington on the other. But don’t let the view distract you, Mission Ridge has over 2000 acres to explore. Carve tree lined groomers, float through wide open bowls, wiggle through glades or scream down narrow chutes. Now throw in tons of sunshine, heaps of dry snow, and reams of velvety corduroy and you have Washington’s most distinctive winter playground. Make us your Mission this season. See more..

First time going and tried tubing at Ski Hill. It was so much fun. Ticket is good for 1.5 hours which is really nice. No crowds or long lines. They rope tow you up a hill and then haul you out onto a well groomed run that has a few thrilling jumps at the end. Great for a first time ski family too and rates are very reasonable. The Lodge has hot chocolate, drinks and snacks and is very comfortable. Overall, best family fun for a great price. Staff is super friendly and helpful. See more..

  11. 4.5 Echo Ridge Nordic Ski Area (15 reviews)
    - Worth the 9 mile drive for 360 degree views, good trails

Echo Ridge Nordic Ski Area image
The road from the lake is 7 miles up hill to the ski area then another 2 miles on a dirt road to the upper echo trail. There are many trails to choose from and they are all well marked and easy to follow and know how far and how high you're going to climb. So many great views of the valley below. We did see 5 deer but not a lot of other wildlife. The trails are fairly wide and very easy to walk, even the difficult paths were fairly straight forward to hike. I think the views from this hike are probably the best you can get from all the hikes in the area. This is a must visit. We walked 3.8 miles and saw everything we wanted to but there are shorter and longer hikes available. See more..
  12. 4.0 Echo Valley Ski Area (14 reviews)
    - Great Family Outing!
Spent More than 3 hours Ski & Snowboard Areas
    Echo Valley Ski Area image
This is a great winter family place! A nice tubing hill was the draw for us, but the fantastic beginners ski/snowboarding hill brought us back two more days! If you're looking for some winter time fun for the whole family - kids to great grandma, this is it. The tubing hill has four different runs (depending on snow levels of course) and they provide the tubes. You have to climb to the top yourself, but that's a good way to work out! The ski hill has three runs that utilize a rope tow making it perfect for beginners. They offer lessons for those that want them and the instructors are very patient and knowledgeable. There is an equipment rental business with skis, snow boards, and snowshoes on site and a quaint little lodge with a snack bar. This was a great find for us! if you are looking for an advance ski area or something with a chair lift... this is not for you! See more..
