We stayed over at the lighthouse keepers house for 4 days and enjoyed every minute. It rained the first day so we went to the Lewis and Clark museum and it pretty interesting. There is a fort right behind it that you can explore. The lighthouse was cool with nice views. We walked around at night and the sky was crystal clear- so many stars! The beach was so clean with lots of birds and the rock Jetty so cool with the Mighty Columbia on one side and the Pacific on the other. The house itself had all the amenities, towels, pillows, bedding, dishes, soap, shampoo fully stocked kitchen with utensils, pots/pans etc. All you have to bring is food, spices, etc. The heater worked great (we were there in Feb) and plenty of hot water for showers. They had cards, boardgames, and books on a book shelf as well as a visitors guide. There are some cool shops/ restaurants, brew pubs around and worth checking out. There is also a grocery shop nearby in case you forgot something. See more..

Beautiful Lighthouse on the Washington coast on the North side of Cape Disappointment. The views from the site are incredible and the light is maintained in its original beauty. The hike to the lighthouse is a nice walk, but a bit of a climb. See more..

It only costs $5 and a tour guide tells you about the history of the lighthouse. This is the tallest lighthouse in Washington and the 3rd in the USA. It's 135 steps, when you get 2/3 of way up, You're met by another docent and told more about the lighthouse's lighting and how it was put together. Then you go to the top and the view is impressive. There is a restriction for kids. See more..
  4. 4.5 New Dungeness Lighthouse (104 reviews)
    - We were Lighthouse Keepers there for a week
    Monday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Lighthouses

What a wonderful place just to visit, or as our group, as lighthouse keepers living in the Keepers' House next to the lighthouse. If you are hiking out (11 miles roundtrip), it's best to find a day and come close to the low tide, so when you hike back you don't have to hike over the rocks. The view from the top is breathtaking, you can see in all directions, and admire how much the Spit has grown since the lighthouse was built there. Unfortunately the lighthouse is now closed to tours, as of March 21, 2020. See more..

This lighthouse was recently restored and is well worth visiting. This time of year it is only open on the weekends. There are several volunteers available to tell you about the lighthouse and a museum on the ground floor of the keepers house. Also a nice gift shop on site. It's nice to be able to climb to the top and take in the views of Fort Casey and the Straight of Juan de Fuca. Nice to find a lighthouse so well cared for. See more..
  6. 4.5 Point No Point Lighthouse & Park (82 reviews)
    - Absolutely beautiful!

We went here with a couple of friends and their kids and had an absolutely blast. All 6 kids, ranging in ages from 2 to 13 had an absolute blast building forts with the driftwood. There are already so many structures built from this driftwood which is perfect for younger kids, but then being able to add on, change or completely build their own structures is what really attracts the older kids. Our kids could have stayed here all day (they told us 4 hrs wasn’t enough)! Next time we will absolutely pack beach chairs and lunches and spend the entire day. This beach and grounds are very well kept with no liter to be seen/found (which I, along with Mother Earth, truly appreciate)! I cannot wait to bring my family back here again. Even our pups enjoyed their time here. I honestly cannot say enough good things about the lighthouse, park, beach and everyone we encountered while enjoying the area. Can’t wait to spend many more days at this perfect piece of paradise. See more..

    - Worth the drive

From Port Townsend WA it's about a thirty minute drive. It's one of many lighthouses in the area to help mariners navigate the waters and islands. My favorite part was enjoying the beach walk with huge piles of driftwood. The views are lovely. The wildflowers are amazing. I found the largest rose hips I've ever seen. See more..

  9. 3.0 Skunk Bay Lighthouse (1 review)
    - Barely visible private lighthouse
Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks • Lighthouses
This lighthouse is barely visible from the road since it is mostly obscured by trees and shrubs. It is one of a very few privately built lighthouses in the United states to be included on the official Coast Guard Light List. See more..
