Our family of 5 went down this past week for a private glassblowing class and I can not say enough great things. Kevin, Billy, Chavez, and Chris absolutely made the entire experience as great as it was. 4 of us participated in the 2 hr class; myself and three kids, 14, 11, & 11 (Dad took tons of awesome pics!). The guys were so great with the kids - patient, funny, informative. We were a few minutes late, so when we finally got in, they just started us right out so we could still get the most of our time. The studio is super laid back, great music, and awesome pieces just set the tone for a cool few hours. We all made our paperweights and ornaments, laughing, joking, and learning all about the amazing world of glass. In the end though, as great as the experience was glass blowing, the guys hands down made it amazing. Can not thank them enough!! I had a great time stand up paddle boarding with Blackfish. My two girlfriends and I decided to go out on Lake Aberdeen and contacted the owners Ryan and Katie. They were extremely friendly and generously outfitted us with brand new paddle boards and paddles, dry suits and even soft comfy water shoes. After arriving at the lake Ryan and Katie helped us with our gear and gave up a great lesson on the basics of paddle boarding- how to properly paddle, transitioning from knees to standing (without falling :)) how to turn and even a bit of history on how the sport started and has become so popular. They helped us into the water and we were off! We all had a great time and even raced our boards a bit at the end. Ryan and Katie have a vast amount of experience in the sport and it really shows. I would recommend going paddle boarding with them weather its your first time or if you are really experienced they will show you a great time.See more..

It's confusing and frustrating. The experience is a bit on the pricey side and takes 3+ hours so I wouldn't take kids who are going to lose interest easily. On the plus side, the staff are beyond helpful and attentive. The ratio of customers to employees was great! I don't think any one of us had to wait more than a minute for help and the staff would do as little or as much as you needed/wanted them to do on your project. They have beer and other bottled/canned alcohol items available for sale, but no wine. Parking is easy and free, too!See more..
