    - Make this a stop on your next visit to Whidbey Island
    Monday: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Distilleries
    Whidbey Island Distillery image
Whidbey Island Distillery is a family owned business run by three generations of the Heising family. We set out in 2009 to make distilled spirits on Washington's own Whidbey Island, and in September 2011 we sold the first bottle of our Loganberry Liqueur. Bev and Steve Heising bought 9 acres of beautiful Whidbey Island hillside in 2009. They renovated existing buildings to include a distillery building (the Bunker), a residence (the Bunk House), a tasting room, and other multi-use buildings on the property. Since then the Whidbey Island Distillery has become a recognized producer of some of finest spirits in the world. Among numerous awards, our Blackberry Liqueur holds a 98 rating by the Beverage Testing Institute making it the highest rated spirit (of any kind) produced in North America. See more..

  5. 4.5 San Juan Island Distillery (67 reviews)
    - Nice visit! Best gin!

    San Juan Island Distillery image
I’m writing this review a year later! We decided to take a walk from Roche Harbor marina to the distillery (a well needed break from a long boat cruise with our teenage kids). We ended up doing a full tasting of ciders, gin and a few specialty liquors. The hosts were patient friendly and informative. I have to say Spy Hop gin is one of my absolute favorites. I hadn’t ever tried it prior to our visit. It’s well worth a stroll (nice walk) if your visiting or grab a bottle at your local store. If you love gin and tonics you will love this gin! See more..

  7. 4.5 Blue Spirits Distilling (66 reviews)
    - Great tasting
    Spent < 1 hour Distilleries
    Blue Spirits Distilling image
There appears to be something in the main part of Leavenworth but we went to the bigger place a little way from the crowds (social distancing you know...). They have nice outdoor seating and are being very responsible during the pandemic – requiring masks, contactless ordering etc. We got a flight of 3 ½ oz pours and then decided to get the flight of “cocktails” (1/2 oz versions of whisky sour, Manhattan and old fashioned). Very good so we decided to buy a bottle of Rye (some of the cost of the tasting is applied). See more..

    Bainbridge Distillers image
The service was generous and hospitable, and the drinks are outstanding! Even though the tour wasn't running during my visit, Connor and Erin made me feel right at home and offered interesting information that helped me appreciate and enjoy the drinks even more. I had the flight of four tastes - whiskey, vodka, gin and oaked gin. Normally, I'm not a gin fan, but these gins were really good. I took home bottles of the whiskey and vodka. The location is fun, and they offer nice perks for military service members, which was a nice extra honor. I highly recommend a visit! This is a business worth supporting. See more..

    Sandstone Distillery image
A small, award-winning distillery with excellent hand-crafted spirits and a fun place to tour and taste. The owner gave us an enthusiastic tour filled with history and details about the craft distilling process. Then we had tastes of all the spirits they offer. The base spirit is a vodka that is smooth and maintains flavors of the grain. Their aged whiskey and gin have their own unique profiles and their White Whiskey has characteristics of both whiskey and tequila! Oh, and the bacon infused whiskey is the best thing you'll have all day! Definitely worth a trip South from Olympia - about 20-minute drive from I-5. See more..

Why is this location closed?! For the first time I got to try the Apple Pie whiskey and it was AMAZING! This was a fun stop on our way from Anacortes to Seattle. It is a little hard to find as it is actually in the same warehouse as the granite place. There are lots of signs so if you follow the signs you will be fine. They have an excellent tasting room and the most beautiful still I have ever seen. They are just getting started and are kind of small right now. They have gin, whiskey and vodka. A few of the spirits are flavored items and it all tastes very good. They are very agreeable to packaging your purchase for your flight. See more..

This small family owned operation is a breathe of fresh air...or fresh cider. Located right off the freeway, the big red barn is hard to miss. Lucky for us its fall and apple season is in full swing. We stopped by fir the fresh apple cider and loved it. Light and not to sweet. We watched the guys load the apples into the distillery and see the juice come out on the bottom. Inside we were greeted by two young kids giving free samples and later collecting my cash. It was the weekend and they were making apple donuts. YUMMMMM! We grabbed our cider and donuts and hit the road. Totally worth stopping by. Wish they made apple pie. See more..
