We had such a great experience with Zoller's. We did the Middle Gorge as a family of 5 with kids ages 7, 8 and 11, plus two additional adults. None of us were experienced rafters and all were a bit nervous to start. Our guide was Ben and he took great care of us. He was very clear in his directions, and we felt very safe the entire time. Our 7-year-old is on the petite side, so our biggest concern was her not falling out. He encouraged our son to try things he was hesitant to try. During the slower part of the trip, he told some great stories and gave great information. Husum Falls is an option for the trip we took (for the adults). Ben gave us honest information about how the falls had been running this time of year which allowed us to make an informed decision about whether or not to go over the falls. I loved this experience! It felt like a great combination of adventure, adrenaline, pushing myself to do things I was nervous about, but also professionally run, which gave me confidence about the safety. My guide was Durham, who was awesome. Very friendly and kept things light. I fell off the raft at one point which I think would have freaked me out but he responded by joking about it (while also pulling me in), which I actually think was the perfect response as it made me laugh and not panic. All the guides I interacted with seemed great. Did the half day trip. I'm glad I didn't do the full day as my toes started getting cold (even though it was 100 degrees)! So anyone prone to cold I would definitely recommend some type of appropriate sock (in addition to what the booties they give you). Would definitely do it again!See more..

Peter Ely was the best raft guide that anyone in my group has ever had, and we are all seasoned rafters. He was absolutely hilarious, had excellent communication and people skills, "boatloads" of confidence, and was very clearly an experienced and competent guide. We had the best time, we will be back, and we will be requesting Peter again. Thank you Peter for so many stories, laughs, and a wonderful whitewater adventure. Also- Husum Falls was SUCH a breathtaking experience! DO IT! I have been rafting with River Recreation since 2005. Every year I take a group of friends and make some of my greatest memories. The staff are hilarious, well trained and safety conscious always. I would put my life in their hands and no one else’s every time. Wes is their most senior guide, with 26 years of experience. He inspires confidence, puts everyone at ease and makes sure that there is plenty of laughter and fun on the river. I’d like to begin this review with saying this is the most organized rafting companies we have used. From the distribution of suits to the waivers, keys and photos. We initially had a booking with a different company that did not work out and with a short window of booking PDX Rafting was able to accommodate our large party 14 (supposed to be 16). Scott was our rep and was incredibly sweet and attentive. Our guide Josh was so professional and patient with our lack of experience! Only two of us on the raft had done it before. Our original tubing trip on the Lower Yakima was cancelled due to a nearby fire so we switched to kayaking on the Upper Yakima instead and I’m so glad it worked out that way. My teen sons and I loved having individual inflatable kayaks and had a blast during our three hours on the river! Pulled off to check out spooky tunnel #47 on the nearby Palouse to Cascades Trail, as well. Rill employees were very responsive, organized, and friendly, and the equipment was clean and well maintained. Would definitely rent from them again.See more..
Booked a trip with these guys with the photo pack included. 2adults and 7 year old child.once suited up and briefed on safety procedures we headed off to the river.jumped in the raft and we are paddling away.its easy to paddle and the rapids are so much fun.the scenery is breathtaking and our guides were fantastic.i highly recommend these guys for there tour.its a small company but very professional operators. This was. A great beginner/ introductory experience for me and my friend. Our guides Ally and Joel, made our entire experience as they were high energy, kind, and relatable. Joel was super informative and gave us a better understanding about WA and what the state has to offer. Ally made sure that us and Joel were safe just in case anything were to happen. We just finished a great white water rafting trip with our guide, Tyler. He was great at leading the kids through he rapid telling the kids what to expect and how we will do this to stay safe and have fun. I've utilized the guide service at Troutwaters Outfitters on two separate occasions. These guys work hard to make sure you have an enjoyable, memorable and successful day on the river. I'm an immediate level and my spouse is a beginner fly fisherman (woman). The guides coached us on each outing, we both improved our casting and mending abilities substantially. We found the guides friendly and helpful. Highly recommended if you want to improve your fly fishing and enjoy Washington's only Blue Ribbon Trout stream, the Yakima River. My family and I spent a fantastic afternoon with Matt as our guide while we explored the Skykomish river on one of the scenic floats that they offer. This section of the river has beauty at every turn and rewards you with views that we all normally speed right by. Do yourself a favor, slow down and spend some time with this crew on the river, they know it better than most everyone else. Matt was patient and friendly with my kids, asking them to "help" paddle along the way. This is a great (and safe) way to introduce children to that river stoke.See more..
