I happened to travel to Spokane for business during Lent. I was lucky enough to arrive on a Saturday night, enabling me to attend Mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes. What a blessing! I absolutely loved the two pedestals at the front of the altar, which were there during Lent. one had the Crown of Thorns while the second had three nails as symbols of the crucified Christ. The rest of the church was also beautiful. After such a wonderful opportunity, I left feeling refreshed and ready for the busy work week. Praise God!See more..
Drove to Oysterville to get oysters and then thoroughly enjoyed going into this well preserved and unique church building where you enter the building from the front for a free self guided tour and then actually enter the sanctuary from the side. Picked up a self guided walking tour map for the town! Church takes as long as you want the walking map about an hour. Very interesting part of America's history.See more..
