    Was a quiet afternoon, ended up with a personal tour by one of the volunteers. Very well versed in the history, and all the projects they were working on. He opened up several of the rooms and cars to show me some of the out of sight items. They have done an excellent job of collecting lots of items for their collection, and much of it has been very well restored and is presented well. Lots of other items that will be fantastic once they finish it. Obviously a lot of great volunteers dedicated to the cause. See more..

    We were a bit worried about finding the place to park but there were signs guiding you right to it. The Rotary Club people were so friendly and helpful. Many were dressed in original train uniforms. We went in October, the train car was not heated, so dress warm. They do have open cars also, a few brave people did that. On the train they were so informative telling the history of the Pend Oreille River. They also talked about the tree's along the way. The history of the train cars being used was very interesting. We had a lot of fun!! See more..

    We stopped on a whim having seen the free train rides sign. It was so fun. Super casual and it was only adults at the time - kids at heart! Cute little museum as well. Fun experience for a break in the drive and a nice looking town. See more..
