    Bruce Lee Grave Site image
Beautiful cemetery near downtown Seattle. Google maps should take you right to the area. We had no problem finding it. The inscription on Brandon Lee’s grave is absolutely beautiful and I hope those who have a chance to visit really take in that beautifully written tribute. Followed both their careers in my life and it is saddening to know such talented people had their life cut so short. A must see and show of respect to the both of them from fans. See more..

    - Train Trip Back In Time
Monday: Spent < 1 hour Historic Sites • Architectural Buildings • Cemeteries
    Dayton Historic Depot image
The Dayton Historic Depot is the oldest standing depot in Washington state. Built in 1881, it was moved to its present location in 1899 by capstan and horses. After it closed in 1971, the Dayton Historical Depot Society placed the Depot on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974, then they refurbished the building and opened as a museum in 1981. Presently, the first floor of the depot has been re-created to appear as it did in 1899. The upstairs, where the Station Agent and his family lived, contains a Gallery that has rotating exhibits. The freight room houses a gift shop of Depot memorabilia, western history books, low technology games, and unique gifts for that special hostess or friend. See more..

    Auburn Pioneer Cemetery image
Pioneer Cemetery is the resting place for some of Auburn's earliest residents, primarily from the Japanese American community, and their descendants. Japanese immigrants (Issei) and their American born children (Nisei) became the primary users and stewards of the cemetery. Today burials at Pioneer Cemetery are rare, as space is limited to descendants of those already buried on site. See more..

Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery image
The Grand Army of the Republic, G.A.R., was the veterans group for Union soldiers of the United States of America. If you are a history buff, this is your place. Graves date back to the early 1880's which is amazing for Western Washington. There are hundred of Civil War veterans buried here and it appears that Confederate soldiers were also accepted starting in the early 1900's as animosity faded. There is also a wonderful granite monument erected in time for Memorial Day (Decoration Day) 1914 which stands as a dramatic center piece to this historic place. The cemetery was established by the Morton, WA Post #10 of the GAR and is currently operated by Post 96 of the American Legion. See more..
