    Sunnyside Beach image
Decided to get out of the house today, and the kids voted to go somewhere with a beach. We hadn’t yet visited Sunnyside Beach, so we opted to check it out this morning. So glad we did and highly impressed! Such a beautiful area, great views, and a clean and friendly park with lots for kids to explore! Finding a beach with sandy spots and not just rocks was another huge bonus. Playground area was great, there were lots of picnic tables and benches for seating, bathrooms were extremely clean, drinking fountains were working, and there were showers past the sand volleyball court to rinse yourself off. When there’s not much open due to COVID, it is so nice to find a relaxing place to hang out. Parking is $5 cash (bring exact change). See more..

    - Nice little neighborhood park
Spent 2-3 hours Parks • Playgrounds
    Haines Wharf Park image
This park is built into the steep hillside but is ADA compliant although the trail up from the parking area is steep. There are swings and a small play structure as well as a big slide and rocks to climb on. The view of the old Haines Wharf pier and building is nice enough but it has been vacant for many years and parts of the pier have collapsed. No idea if the city plans to do anything, it would make a great fishing pier if rebuilt. See more..

Monday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent 1-2 hours Bodies of Water • Parks • Playgrounds
    Roegner Park image
Roegner Park is deceptively large. It's frankly more of a trail way point than a conventional park, but it's still got a playground, picnic shelter, and several tables and benches along the White River. It connects to the White River trail, accordingly, and the Boulder Creek (?) trail from there, giving you a very large area to have a gentle hike from. Small parking lot, bathrooms are currently closed due to COVID-19. See more..
